I picked up some PBR & Old Speckled Hens both in cans a couple days ago which are my traditional bonnaroo beer packing choices and am enjoying one right now while I work at this.
So I was right in taking Jello to indicate Jello Biafra but my mistake was in looking up him personally as being from Colorado. The important thing is that his band the Dead Kennedys are from San Franciso...so who was at big ears but not at a san fran fest!
I think it's worth noting that Jello does not perform with DKs anymore... the only room you'll get them all together in is a courtroom.
I like making the jump straight to Jello and keeping DKs out of it.
All very true. I won't support the DKs anymore, but I will support Jello.
Are there any bands whose names end with a question mark?
?uestlove starts with it...
It could also pertain to the phrasing of a question on the show. Example: Who is Jello Biafra?
Possibly wordplay? I recall being about 6-7 years old and going round and round in Abbott&Costello circles trying to get my parents to tell me who sang that "My Generation" song that was on the TV. They kept giving me the answer, and I kept asking the question... at least they got a good laugh out of it.

this is why the who should play bonnaroo. and also on the same bill should be the guess who and yes.
My take is we need to think of "jello land" in terms of a jeopardy clue or a crossword clue in order to figure out what event/place that part of the clue refers to. I dont think the band/artist has anything to do with jeopardy

Save you some time: Jello land is ref. to SF and therefore a festival there-
Outside Lands, Noise Pop and Treasure Island are the only ones I can think of. I'll do some googling.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Sea of Dreams, Hard SF, etd.pop, etd.love are some others that I briefly looked into earlier along with the ones you mention. The trouble is that none of the big ears people appear at these fests, nor seemingly were ever meant to, nor are even parts of other groups who actually did play thus technically making the clue work. The only person that I can find any link between is Dan Deacon but he works because he actaully WAS at fests in both locations and this contridicts the validity of the answer in itself.
