I agree that there should be a suspension until shit clears up and then just do playoffs as seeded. The chips on Lillard and Beals shoulder gets bigger, pels can take solace that with full Zion they may have been in, the east is still a dump, everyone moves on.
It would be interesting to see how they would go into it, cold or maybe some scrimmages between the east and west teams to warm up
I’m missing the NBA. I was having a fun season as a fan and got to hit a couple Pelicans games and watched the rest on tv. We were interesting and with JJ hopefully on the way back, we might have got that 8. I was hopeful. If it’s a truncated season, we are deservedly out. Week nights in the spring and nba go together for me because that’s what I’m usually watching through the playoffs. It’s going to be weird to be without sports and live music. Like wtf even is that? Hopefully shit will work out soon enough. I don’t have shit to do so I took tomorrow off and drove to Florida. Jammed on Foxtrot, Selling England and And then there were 3 on the ride. Put on the tv and the 2014 documentary was on. Didn’t expect to be a Genesis night but I guess I can be catching up on some old shit for a while. Might keep it Phil Collins and blast some brand x going to bed.

Not sure if anyone else has suggested this, but if the NBA decides to do anything to finish the season, they should just stage a big ol' tournament. No more regular season (probably no time now), just seed every team based on record. Then no bubble team can say they didn't get a chance to squeak into the playoffs, and garbage teams will get to play a big what-if game. Single elim in at least the first round and maybe best of three the rest of the way to keep things moving. Or even a home-and-home 2-game aggregate score matchup, like in European soccer. They could put the conferences on opposite sides of the bracket, or ignore conferences.
It sounds drastic, but if they do it right there won't been any stupid upsets early and the whole thing could progress faster than their normal playoff format. The radical change to the all-star game worked out and generated a lot of buzz, and good play. And I wouldn't mind seeing my Cavs or the Hawks, Pelicans, or Warriors play one more game, even if none of them are top-8 in their respective conferences right now.
MD and I talked about it when the season got cancelled. Imo, the nine seeds in each conference are far enough behind that they don't really have much to complain about if the league just started the playoffs right away. Portland are 3.5 games back of Memphis, and Washington are 5.5 games back of Orlando. If it were a game or two, I could see having a play-in game or tourney, or like, Portland or Washington have to win two or three straight vs their respective eights to get in, but to me that's enough of a cushion, especially in the Wizards' case, that the league should just start the playoffs with the seeds as they stood the day the season was cancelled.
