Not to add to the din, but I also just found this. These artists were also eligible beginning in 2009:
These artists released their first recording in 1984, which makes them eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 (the induction ceremony will be held the year following the voting process, in 2010).

If zimmy is not trying to mess us up I think the spelling of Klu and Jane Fonda definately sent us to Klute. I am not really sure where to go from there tho

John Klute is played by Donald Sutherland. I can't find any connection with him though...the clue did say she loved this klu... So I thought maybe the clue was referring to the klu-te in the movie...
Run DMC played a 20th anniversary reunion concert in Hyde Park w/Aerosmith in 2007. Jane Fonda's character's name in Klute was Bree Daniels. Run has Darryl "DMC" McDaniels....They are going into ("bound") for the Hall of Fame.....

The only one of these that seems likely to get into the RRHOF is the Chili Peppers. (Okay, possibly Spinal Tap.)
I don't think that they are a likely choice. Possibly from the 2010 list?

Okay, none of these seem likely to get in. We may see some artists that have been passed over in the past get in in the next couple of years.

THE FLAMING LIPPPPS.
Hahahaha. Seriously... they're the reason I came to Bonnaroo in the first place. I feel like their early stuff is so unknown/underrated... :-( They fit well with the second clue, but they don't have a two-part name. So I guess it's back to wishful thinking.
Are we absolutely sure it was none of the 2009 inductees (Run DMC or Jeff Beck)?....I'm not convinced we'd get a definite acknowledgement either way......
