Would like to take this opportunity in the leadup to Roo to hock the FlipBelt - it's meant for runners but I find it great for LNs when maybe you don't need to carry around a full-ass Camelbak. It's basically a stretchy fabric tube with a front zipper and a couple other holes to hold stuff. I can keep my phone, vape, and other little goodies in it and run around/dance unencumbered. It makes me feel so free in comparison to the daytime. Water bottle can get clipped on the side when I'm walking around. Pretty discreet under a T-shirt too.

I’m flying in from NY and wanted something that I could easily pack and reuse. The last two years I’ve gone to Roo my buddies and I grab our rental car, head to Walmart for beers/snacks. We usually buy a cheap cooler for like $30 split three ways. We always just gift it to a neighbor at the end. Wondering if we should continue doing that or purchase a collapsible bag. Thanks in advance for any advice.
you might want to consider going to a Home Depot and getting a few buckets and filling them with ice. It won't keep anything that cold but tbh not many cheap things will. Plus when the ice melts, you can easily dump the water on each others heads or perhaps repurpose it as aa drum.
I visited your link and immediately ordered one of the velcro ones... I hate fanny packs so this looks perfect!
But they literally say that this IS a fanny pack in the title: "Fitness and Running Fanny Pack for Women and Men" 🤣
Seriously though, I hate fanny packs, too. So last year when I decided I was tired of toting a whole hydration pack around, I went to Walmart and purchased a....wait for it.... "belt pack." It says belt, not fanny, so I'm still not old, or at least not on the beach in Florida with sandals and black crew socks old. Yes, I felt ridiculous, but it was nice to downsize and keep the weight off my aging back. I definitely might try one of these less-conspicuous totally-non-fanny packs though, they do look convenient. Thanks, Jaz

Target has 10x10 Coleman canopies on sale for $105, regularly $150. Price is valid in store or for shipping. I picked one up locally because I know they're pretty stout and we needed another one. There are more heavy-duty commercial grade canopies out there but I doubt you'll find better for this price. Includes one wall. Their 13x13 is also on sale but I have no experience with it.

If you’re in Florida, hurricane preparedness tax free season is upon us. Lots of things including batteries, lanterns, coolers, etc. are tax free through June 9th.

Thank you! It’s up to $120 now but still cheaper than similar canopies at Dick’s so I just snagged the last one at our Target for pickup later.

Costco currently has the Coho 55 qt rotomolded cooler on sale for $99 in stores. If you've been wanting to upgrade to a rotomold but balked at the usual prices, this might be the ticket for you. It certainly isn't the fanciest but it doesn't look bad at all. And if you know where to get any rotomolded cooler this size for cheaper, you really need to share, because it's a rare deal.
They also have some mens long sleeve sun tees for $10. I can't vouch for them but I like the idea of long sleeves for sun protection because I hate sunscreen (and sunburns, duh), as long as they breathe and don't make you too hot.

I checked out that cooler on the Costco website. Right below it is a $799 refrigerator/cooler with a solar panel and extra battery. If money was no object that would be DA BOMB!
What is IMO? If you go to costco.com and search "coho" or "cooler" it comes up immediately, no tricks, although I have no idea if they'll ship this to you, I saw it in store. But if you really can't be bothered, this is it.

In my opinion so everyone get see/buy what you were talking about. Thanks.

Anyone seen a good deal on a solar "generator"/battery power supply, with or without a solar panel, or have one you like enough to recommend? I've started looking a bit, and I'm far too thrifty to take the easy route and shell out the big bucks for a nice Jackery setup. No real interest in a gas generator, even as quiet and capable as some of the newer little ones can be.
So far I know I want something with a 500-600Wh capacity, at a minimum, and LFP batteries. This would mostly just need to serve me and one or two other people but we'll have a group of maybe 10+ at Bonnaroo this year, with half of them being naive and under-prepared teenagers, so more watt hours would be nice. The Ecoflow River 2 Pro and Delta 2 would be great but they're a little pricy. The Fremo X700 looks decent, for a little less. And the Dokio panels on Amazon are very well reviewed and liked, and look like a good value. Open to anything though.
Late edit: an ebay seller has the Fremo x700 bundled with a Fremo 100W solar panel for $300 and is taking offers right now. It isn't the brawniest setup, not the largest capacity battery or the most capable panel, but it's pretty nice for the price. LFP battery tech (unlikely to catch fire LOL), 660Wh is enough juice to satisfy most campers, and the panel is enough to fully recharge the battery once on a partly sunny day. And the seller will accepted my offer of $280. Hopefully this is enough to serve my group and no one brings anything silly like a toaster oven or heater. It should suffice for phones, a BT speaker, and a string or two of LED lights.
I’m doing my first camping festival in May since 2018 so I’m dusting off the gear and looking to make upgrades. Anyone have any new gadgets or gear they like? My tent and ez-ups should be solid so more so looking at more ancillary things.
Camp Lights? Fanny Packs? Clothes? Camelbak?
F me, I quit Ohio you’ve provided more info for me to think about for future big improvements. I like the jackery stuff. Right now, I have a portable Bluetooth speaker (Block Rocker2) that can play music for like 36 hours and is pretty beefy but also has usb charge ports that I can use to squeeze out a few cell charges too.
