Hi Meg, Hope weekend is going well.
Up here in the North, the State of Alabama sells the image that there are white sand beaches along there little bit of the coast.
I my attempt to appease the spouse, the almighty, most beautiful of wives, provider of my pleasure, I am trying to investigate locations of beaches that are within weekend travel distance. I guess it is not that the Florida panhandle is far from the southern point of Alabama. Probably like me running up to Colorado Springs for something, a mere 50 miles.

Check out Orange Beach, AL....my folks have a place there...it is every bit as nice as any of the FL panhandle beaches! And TONS of condos that you can probably get a steal of a rental price on right now! ;D Gulf Shores is nice too...basically the same beaches...just a bit more touristy and all the tack that comes with it! LOL! They don't call it the Redneck Riviera for nothing! Check out the FloraBama no matter what you do....it's Kenny Stablers dive bar on the Florida/Alabama state line....so cheez-whiz it's a MUST SEE! LMFAO!! Got pretty much destroyed in Ivan but they have rebuilt and perservered....LOL! Rednecks and cockroaches...can't kill them off no matter what!

Shiner bock is the best, yall dont even know about shiner holiday cheer, shiner black or shiner commerative 100. I plan on bringing shiner cans and lone star to roo, still havent seen fat tire cans yet.

Bunny, we should check with Bamabelle and Boz to see if we can procure some Shiner Bock for you locally, or if I need to import some for you. Anthon-e might not want the Playboy ears, but a gross of PB magazines might get his interest.
Rideincircles, I am not surprised about now finding Fat Tire in cans. Still is fairly rare to find it where I live in Colorado, bottles everywhere, but not many cans.
I am going to try their Sunshine wheat on a hot day to see if that might be an option. New Belgium introduced the canned version of Sunshine Wheat very recently.

I can drink Abita (amber, not strawberry). Does it come in cans? Can you get Sweetwater 420? I know they sell it at roo, but not if you can buy it to bring in.
I just hate most beer in cans. With Yeungling out of the picture I'm a little worried that the level of hops in my bloodstream might get dangerously low.
Might have to switch to mojitos. That would be, ah, probably a mistake. Me + liquor = crazier than Marsha. Lord.
I can look for Abita in cans - am picking up the strawberry for our favorite bamabelle for household consumption

Why is Yuengling out of the picture? A 12 pack of Lager or Black and Tan cans is $9.99 at my local Keyfood... should I get you a case?
No worries on the Yuengling Bunny....we can def get that here and pretty cheap too....I'll check on the Shiner in cans....know we can get it in bottles but have never really looked for it in cans. We can get Tecate in cans too...that was my backup for Yuengling last year....MUCH rather have Negro Modelo but....the only Modelo I can find in cans here is that other stuff and I actually tolerate the Tecate better.....
We can look for the Fat Tire cans when we get up to Fayettville....I'll start looking around here for it but I have yet to see it....if it's 6% alcohol content or better then it can't be sold in Bama.....
