I loved that SuperJam too, exceot that I missed the entire HipHop thing that was awesome and going on at the SAME TIME!!! That made me cry, but the Zepplin jam was amazing!!!
seems to me we may have to add it to the clusterfuck of a Sat. late night depending on how things shake down on that very crowded day. If thats the case I can't not see, at least, Trey involved soon enough there will be a leak and we will know the superjam...
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
I would really like for Superjam to be during the afternoon, this year... I'd like to give the show another chance after two (personally) disappointing years, but I have a feeling the late nights are going to be absurd.
Who was in the superjam last year? Did it suck? When did Bela Fleck learn how to play bass?
I'd bet Bela Fleck can play just about ANY instrument he wants....especially if has strings.....and I wouldn't bet against him if it was woodwind or percussion either.... Just saying.....the man is a genius musician....I personally would LOVE to see him play bass! ;D
The Superjam was Gogol with Les Claypool and Kirk Hammet for a little while playing Tom Waits Covers...
And, I'm the wrong person to ask if it sucked because I hated it.
Ugh me too, but I'm real glad it sucked because I wandered over to MMJ and had the time of my life. Normally I stick an entire show out, but when I realized MMJ was playing I left after 10 mins of that superjam

so what has the last few years superjams?
im trying to get an idea of how these things usually go?... is it usually people that you would think would jam together. I mean gogol and claypool and hammett is pretty out there...
well last years superjam was being practiced a few months before roo. eugene hutz from gogol was interviewed and mentioned that he, claypool and hammett were practicing tom waits songs together.
i personally enjoyed it, on these boards it seemed like it was pretty hit or miss for people.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Golgol Bordello + Les Claypool was a dancing night of FUN!!! I don't get what is so weird about Gypsy Punx with a killer bassist, and Tom Waits covers? WHy is that so poopy or weird? I thought it was fun, and I love to sing Tom Waits songs...the place was pretty darn packed for seeing so many people who apparently didn't like it. Just my opinion though, and I LOVE Les, so whatever!
