A lot of this will depend on when they have the Superjam. On my mock schedule, I have a big gap Saturday latenight for an Indie-type band. My Saturday night is 8-12 Phish What 12-2 TMV Which 2-4 NIN What 12-4 moe This 12-3 (indie - new) That 12-4 (electronica - new) The Other
So, an Indie superjam could make a ton of sense in my lineup. David Byrne is playing Saturday already (I have him 6-8 on What).

I would really love to see this be the schedule, but I think that there will be some more overlapping of Phish/TMV/NIN and we're not even sure if Phish will headline Saturday. It could happen but I'm not sure.
I bet Byrne will be in on it regardless of who else is there...he proves over and over that he can and will do anything with any other artist! Wishful thinking would be NIN w/Bowie..hehe...saw that rumor floating around somewhere on internet...what about The Dead with some guests...I mean Warren is already there with Mule, and isn't he touring with The Dead? There will be some Dead there - Phil never misses Roo!!! The suspense is energizing!
Tis very true that Phil does not miss a 'roo have read many articles interviewing him and he really seems to love the atmosphere as well as actually playing. I don't see the Dead being added (not really room for them plus I think they would make my conflicts even worse then they already will be), although it would be a dream for me if they were. If anyone maybe Phil will rear his head at the jam or somewhere else but I don't think we will see the other members....oh believe me I hope I am wrong. Warren, though, I see being a part of the jam.

haven't even thought about superjam honestly. too many conflicts already as it is. I'm assuming late night will be horribly hurting. Phish, NIN, Mars Volta, Wilco, Ben Harper are all possible to conflict with each other at some point.......it hurts my brain

How about this:
Vocals - Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), David Byrne Guitar - Trey Anastasio (Phish), Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (Mars Volta) Bass - Mike Gordon (Phish) Drums - either Jon Theodore (Mars Volta) or Max Weinberg (E Street Band) Other instrumentation - Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Andrew Bird
All of them together performing Ziggy Stardust from beginning to end.

Well Superjam is almost always Friday, and always Friday for the past 4 years so I bet it will be then. I really hope it is not an indie Suprerjam unless Robyn Hitchcock is leading it. Of course so many indie bands owe him so much that is not out of the question.

Sorry to break it to ya, but Jon Theodore is no longer the drummer for The Mars Volta. They have this 23 yo prodigy by the name of Thomas Pridgen who basically mops the floor with his sweat and dreads. You should not miss this guy, and if I think any member of The Mars Volta were to be in the superjam, it would have to be Omar.
An Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Rodrigo y Gabriella flamenco performance with guest vocalists like Trent Reznor or Panda Bear (Animal Collective) would be out of this world

That's what I would call "Phish Headlining Sunday."
