Well, after Roo 2008 I'm no longer a roo virgin and I'm up for an adventure for 2009. I tried to get my sister and friends to do this but couldn't get anyone that was up for it. I'd love to go around to all the pods and check out the artwork and such. Seems like every area has it's own flavor and like disney world it's hard to see it all. We could go at night to escape the heat or whenever. I'm looking for kindred spirits who would like to see it all. I figure we could do a photo at each one for keepsakes or just to prove we did it. Of course we could take libations and such to make it a roaming party ;D. I'm hoping to find at least one person who is up for it- but the more the merrier!!!!!!
That's kinda like what I did on Sunday night - after the music ended, when Centeroo shut down and my neighbors had gone to bed - I just wandered around lots of different pods, meeting a bunch of interesting people, enjoying my corn and the sights and sounds. No photos unfortunately, though. Would love to do the same next year with some Inforoosters.

Hrm. They shouldn't have, I mean, that's what people use as markers to get back to their site & I know the last thing they want is a bunch of confused hippies wandering around on the last day lol. So I am sure some random people did it themselves. I also know the yarn thing by our camp collapsed by Sunday
Didn't they turn out the lights to the pod balloons on Sunday night?
I know they did at all the balloons I could see from camp Luke Skywalker.
and why did they do that??
My bad- It wasn't Luke Skywalker. Can't figure out exactly where I was... near the "More than Music" tent. But I know pod 8 and 9 were out when we came back from Widespread Panic.

I'm in. Singing and skipping all along. We need a tambourine or two as well...maybe a bongo...you know, to keep rhythm while we walk and sing and skip...kinda like a drummer boy...a drummeroo.
I know at one point this year I was doing the Charleston while wandering back to camp. It was part of my one woman vaudeville show. The funny part is how sober I was.
I'm down for a roving gypsy tambourine band. I'll bring the hip scarves.

hahaha we'll just wing it...think of how much funnier it'll be....I think we might need to have a sober person follow us around to document our journey....

Sounds awesome! And yeah, I think totally improvised is the way to go in our wandering marching band's jam session.
This is one more thing to add to the "Pro" column of my list of reasons to buy a Handycam.
Roo Roam '09 here we come!
Roo Roam '09...I like it...
We should also make it a point to find shakedown on this adventure...
I can't WAIT!
Ooooh, I completely agree - we should definitely try to find the real Shakedown. Hopefully by Sunday night, at least some Inforoosters will know roughly where it is.

Real Shakedown would be cool. Never saw it last year. Also, are there any other points of interest outside of centeroo that we should go to or try to find??

I love the name Roo Roam '09 - do we all like this? If nobody objects, I humbly offer my graphic design services to make some sort of logo thing that we could put on t-shirt or whatever. Just if anyone wanted to make an iron-on transfer tshirt or anything. Does this sound like a good idea? If people like the idea (and if everyone likes Roo Roam '09 for a name) I'll probably start thinking soon because it'll be fun. Haha.
