I'd see em if it was at a small club. I like the older stuff, its just poppy and nice to chill to. I definetly woulnd't drop 75 bucks on a ticket to see them at Giant's stadium though.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
ah, I love it when people jump on the "I hate this group" bandwagon for no real reason other than peaked and faded popularity.
Blink 182, are they a great band? No. Absolutely not. Are they the worst thing to happen to music? Far from it. Same with Creed. People hate them because its the proper thing to do at this point in time. Even though, everyone here knows that at least 50-60% of you at one point owned a Blink 182 album, or at the very least Creed's My Own Prison (which, lets be honest, is a pretty solid record).
Popularity doesn't make music good or bad. It might annoy you more, but it doesn't make that music any better or worse than it is. It is what it is.

I saw Blink when I was in 8th grade then again when I was in 10th. Travis put on one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. They had him strapped to his seat and then raised him and his drumset up above the crowd and started spinning it upside down. And he wasn't doing just basic beats...he was doing some pretty technical stuff.
Plus he did some guest drumming on Idiot Pilot's last CD...so that holds a special place in my heart.
As for a reunion...I'd go see it to re-live the past and have a good time. But it's highly doubtful that it will ever happen.

Thankfully, I never stabbed my ears with invisible ice picks by owning either of those bands' records. I always hated those bands, and always will. Unless they start make weird space jazz with cat noises.

not everyone hates them because "it's proper". some people just realize they are ripping off the same 3 chord "green day" style songs that i got bored of in elementary school. or because they just really bring nothing to the table musically besides cheesy pop-punk and unimaginatively-vulgar pre-teen fart jokes.
I saw them once, a very long time ago because they were playing with Bad Religion. it was prob one of the worst sounding shows Iv ever been to, we left after a couple songs. I still like Dude Ranch tho

I think the concert you're talking about was Motley Crue circa 1987.
I saw a Green Day/Blink 182 show back in college. Green Day played first(!) and blew Blink 182 off the stage. But yea, Travis had ripped off Tommy Lee with the spinning drum kit. DUDE, HE"S PLAYING DRUMS>>>>UPSIDE DOWN!!!!ZOMG

Yeah, he totally ripped off another hack, Tommy Lee.

They're actually ripping of Green Day ripping off several punk bands from the 70's/early 80's.

Many would argue that they were actually ripping off NOFX.
