leave it to harvard to try and classify "a song" haha. definitions are made by man....why are they set in stone?
I hear what you're saying, but keep in mind that Harvard didn't define "song", they are just providing the definition that has been used for centuries.
There are some live versions of Dazed and Confused over 20 mins and also Shining Star by JGB. Almost sure that Pink Floyd has a few Pigs (3do) from the 1977 tour.
If we include live stuff, then the version of Dark Star from Dick's Picks Vol 36 is pretty damn good. Also the one from Rockin' The Rhein With The Grateful Dead is good as well.
id say my favorite is probably shine on you crazy diamond by floyd, like everyone else apparently....
but my second favorite long ass song (all though not 20 minutes, i think its only like 18.6) is NOFX's The Decline.... omg, gets me screaming everytime... im a horns freak, i play the alto sax
As your attorney I advise you to drive at top speed and it'll be a Goddamn miracle if we get there before you turn into some kind of wild animal. Are you ready for that? Checking into a Las Vegas hotel under a phony name with the intent to commit capital fraud with a head full of acid? I certainly hope so...
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
