This year the festival will be held @ Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY... the announcement will be made May 10. It's right in my backyard, but with all the stuff I've heard about Bisco, I'm wary... but it's probably just too close to pass up, and ILCC has flush toilets and showers. Um, and sometimes meanie biker security.
ilcc is a nice place. i had a great time at the vibes. ive heard many horror stories about the bikers but i didnt have or witness any problems. the car searches are insane. they will look in your cooler, glove box, tent bags, back packs, duffel bags, etc... the wait in line can take all day so they can search people so hard. im not sure how that will fly with the bisco crowd. seems like they were getting a new spot because of security issues and are moving to a spot with security issues. oh well. im likely to be there anyhow.
hmm i'm gonna wait until one of my friends who is far more bisco-obsessed than i passes his judgement on the location before i commit to going, as i'm sure he'll hear more rumors than i will. i'm a little bummed as i was planning on hitting it up for the first time this year, but i too probably wont let it affect my decision too much.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

i've been to ilcc for vibes and camp creek, and never had a problem with the security, but have heard many stories of those who have been harassed. i think if you aren't being sketchy, and if they think you are a problem and you cooperate there wouldn't be a problem... and the site is very nice...
i can't believe they got Amon Tobin and Simon Posford. That is ridiculous. Two artists I wanted at this years Roo. Throw in Infected Mushroom. Camp is quickly turning into the "can't-miss-electronic festival."
I'm pretty sure the band listed as "Hanging Brains (from Chicago) is Umphrey's. On the Camp Bisco webpage the silhouette next to Hanging Brains is definitely Umphrey's. Also, hanging brains has something to do with the UM organization, I'm just not sure what. The description on the website also pretty much describes UM. It's also weird that they put from Chicago next to them and no other locations for the other bands, kind of like a clue. Could be wrong but seeing how the biscuits and Umphrey's are such good buddies I could see this panning out. Also since Umphrey's is playing Mountain Jam there could be some sort of clause limiting how close they can play within a certain period. Camp Bisco is very close to where Mt. Jam is so playing under a different name may be a way around that festival clause. It's all just speculation but that would be awesome if UM were playing Camp Bisco.

ya hanging brains has to be umphreys in 1 way or another. braindamaged eggmen makes sense as a floyd/beatles thing. any ideas on hanging brains?
looks like ill be hitting gathering of the vibes, hang out in nyc for a bit, catch umph/bisco on wednesday in brooklyn and then head to camp bisco. hopefully i can talk everyone in my group into it.
