anyone getting tix to Jam on the River when they go on sale tomorrow? my friend has a party on saturday i have to at least show my face at but this lineup is just too crazy to miss out on...check out this ridiculousness:
"The Disco Biscuits will play last on Saturday, May 26 at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. They will also perform a special late-night show at the Electric Factory on Sunday, May 27. On Saturday, they will be joined by Common and Bustle in your Hedgerow, featuring Joe Russo and Marco Benevento! That night, Conspirator will play a special late-night show at the Electric Factory with STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9), who plays at the Great Plaza on Sunday before the Biscuits' Factory throw-down! In addition to STS9, the Sunday lineup includes performances by Dark Star Orchestra, the Wailers, and John Butler Trio. Grimace Federation will appear at the Factory with the Biscuits!"
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

Saturday is Bisco, Common, Bustle in your Hedgerow at Penn's Landing. Saturday night is Conspirator and STS9 at the Electric Factory. Sunday is STS9 , Dark Star Orchestra, Wailers, and John Butler Trio at the Great Plaza, and Bisco and Grimace Federation at the Electric Factory.
So, are we talking 4 separate shows (requiring 4 separate purchases) being announced, or 4 shows in 4 separate locations, but all for one ticket purchase? Sorry, but I'm kinda confused...
the impression i'm getting is that both Electric Factory shows will be sold seperately, and the Great Plaza shows will require festival tickets. i could be mistaken, they could be bundled together...i guess we'll find out monday

pre-sale is still going on on both sts9's ticketing sight and disco biscuits ticketing site. you can buy separately or you can buy some kind of package that includes hotel and parking i think.

just got my bisco e-factory ticket for sunday night.
i'm kinda pissed, i bought my tickets for conspirator & sts9 late night on saturday and my festival ticket for sunday through www.sts9.com and they didn't give me an option for mail or ups or whatever, so i assumed it was mail and just found out both of those tickets are will call. hopefully the line doesn't suck ass...

awesome weekend, Lotus played a kick ass set on sat and then Cyrprss Hill got the crowd real live then biscuits came on and the heavens opened up during an insane save the robots, but the lightning got way to close and they had to end the show. but since biscuits had to end early they let anyone with a ticket stub from jotr into the STS9 E Factory show for free and they put on a ridic show. day 2 was really sweet, dark star and the wailers put on really good shows that were really tight and laid back so perfect for the temp. then JBT put on an amazing show extremely powerful. and to finish everything up STS9 put on an even more ridiculous show than the night before, but it got cut off early cause of rain. and then i skipped the bisco aftershow, due to cash flow reasons and iv seen them enough times this year already
saturday was awesome. albeit hot as hell. caught the end of bustle in your hedgerow, they sounded awesome. lotus tore it up. cypress hill was ok. and biscuits were doing awesome for the 3 songs they actually did play before they got rained out. and boy did it rain. we were as wet as if we had jumped into a pool fully clothed. still awesome though.
also hit up the sunday disco biscuits after party at the e factory. it was sold out well in advance. EVERYONE was looking for tickets, they few that were being sold were going for $100! some security guard ended up letting us in fro $40 a head. pretty awesome. biscuits were real tight, really fun show.
this was a really, really fun weekend. i was at a different party during the day saturday so i only caught the factory show for conspirator & sts9 and while both were great sets, i was somewhat spoiled because i saw conspirator at highline 2 days before, and sts9 at studio mezmor the night before, and both of the previous shows i thought were better then sat's so though i certainly rocked the f out, the sets weren't as memorable as they should have been.
sunday i hit the festival all day and saw dark star which was fantastic especially with a 'shakedown street' opener. both the wailers and john butler trio i listened to from the steps but didn't watch, and both sets were good but i have to hand it to jbt for really getting me moving. sts9 getting rained out sucked, but their set was pretty good up until we booked to beat the worst of the rain. the bisco e-factory show after was definitely the best show of the entire weekend i thought. light show, setlist, crowd energy, dancing...everything came together beautifully, i was so disappointed when they stopped playing.
no doubt in my mind i'll be doing this again next year if biscuits are headlining again!
