Grrrr to the fact I stay up past 11 every night and not bothered. Only to wake up at 5 am for work, and be dead tired for half the day. Then hit wind when it doesn't matter.

GRRRRRRRRRR... I've been expecting some awesome news on the job front but again another week has gone by and no word back. Also got a lovely letter from the DOL today demanding $2970 with in the next 10 days, however it looks like there was a delay in the mail and I received it with 3 days left, and their phone number is busy. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I hate colds and mine is in full effect. I have been drinking emergen-c packets with water every couple of hours and just chugging water hoping to relieve any symptoms. I feel like I have an ear infection coming on.

Tough day today. Tough work. I have an employee that got evicted last week. I want to help them but when they dont make it in today it makes it difficult to take them to lunch, get a bus pass and whatever else I can do.
GRRR, my car is falling apart. I really don't need a car payment right now. I had hoped to wait until my hubs gets a job or I get the last kid out of daycare next year. Not sure if I have that much time. Spending time on the side of the road tonight makes me nervous.
GRRRR for the $1040 it is going to cost to get my truck fixed. That plus the ticket I got while driving to Music Midtown is going to make the first half of October's budget really uncomfortable.

Grrr to house buying. We found a house we LOVE, but we want an income generating multi-unit property and this is a single family...thought we could convert it, but they won't come down in price and the renovations/drawings/zoning/etc would put the investment way over what the neighborhood will bear. It sucks, I'm disappointed and frustrated and ready to throw in the towel. I never thought this would be so anxiety-inducing and stressful.
My family is having a rough go of it right now. My mom is recovering from a stroke and my brothers are still trying to find their lots in life. It's been a bit taxing. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Sending good vibes to all of you.
I'm surprised that they didn't test the surrogate for nicotine. I have a friend who carried a couple's baby and they tested her for EVERYTHING ever time she went to the Dr which was every 2 weeks.

Consider them both sent. Hope things improve quickly on all fronts!
Y'all, I want to CHOKE THE LIVING HELL out of some people...I just don't know who deserves it most.
Today is SUPPOSED to be payday. My assistant got paid; my colleagues got paid. But me? Nope. This is the SECOND TIME it's happened since summer. And to make matters worse? I just called HR in a panic and tried not to burst into tears while talking to a clueless temp who informs me that the entire HR/Payroll division is at a conference UNTIL THURSDAY, so this will "have to wait" until then. My response? "Don't they have cell phones you can call, because this is an EMERGENCY!!!"
Problem #1: Neither my boss (who has plenty of experience) nor the Dean's sweet but otherwise incompetent secretary (who started in July) noticed the error, either this summer or now. My boss should've retired years ago, since she's now teaching the kids whose parents she taught in the '70s. (Problem #1B: boss has no plans to retire any time soon, so I'm basically quacked six ways from Sunday.)
Problem #2: I'm now overdrawn and had planned to pay bills today. And buy groceries.
::: takes deep, cleansing breaths :::
Fortunately I have an ally in the Faculty Senate president who's raising hell on my behalf as I type this. An irate email has been sent to all of HR, so hopefully by day's end they'll have cut an emergency check. Just like in July. That debacle gave me an ulcer; this 2nd incident is giving me a migraine. GRRR.
