I may or may not be drunk right now. I told the lady friend that now would be the time to try to talk me into anything weird. Without missing a beat, she says pegging then immediately says she was joking. Well played.

I understand some things like, "I strap when I swoop" but I had to go to the urban dictionary on this one. She wants to own that ass.
2017 - Pretty Lights Live, 12th Planet, Pharoahe Monch, Lettuce, Dave Chapelle w/ Chance,Vince Staples,Jarobi White,Kardinal Offishall, Big Tymers, 2Chainz, Skism, Trollphace, Zoogma, GrizMatiK, Sleigh Bells, Travis Scott, RTJ, Tycho, Sunsquabi, Gramatik,AtDI, Michael Franks, Roy Ayers, Radiohead...
Nuh-uh! Michael Franks is still around, and playing shows!? I just found an old vinyl Michael Franks album of my dad's the other day. When I was a kid in the 80's my dad listened to Michael Franks, and I associate his music with our family vacations. I also thought it was the ultimate music of romance, until I heard Morphine. Haven't heard that stuff in many years, and completely forgot about him. I guess I figured his career ended with the 80's and when the synths of that area started sounding cheesey and dated. It's silly to assume he wouldn't change with the times, but he embodied a certain 80's je ne sais quoi, for me anyway.
Of course, I'd rather see some others on your list, like RTJ, Chapelle, Chance, and Jarobi, but I'd take a lady to see Franks, at the right venue.
Haha yeah. It was a concert at Armstrong Park, and you can get there on a bike path easily. I told him what's up when he got off the bus. He had a cane and said he fd up his ankle a few weeks before. Band was sweet, and he played just typical Franks tunes like Eggplant Song. Real cool and real chill. It was a mostly African American audience and festival for crabs. It was kind of a can't miss, because when does he come around? Also Roy Ayers was on the bill, and he's a hero for me. I didn't have anything else to do at 6 o'clock over that. As for Franks, my middle brother always loved him. We would jam on the album Blue Pacific at a daiquiri shop we worked at, at least once a week. Haha. Some people think it's cheesy. And I guess a lot of smooth shit is. But still...

That was wild. The encore was Dead Flowers and they invited anyone who knew the song onstage. I ended up singing the chorus with the opening bass player.
Maybe it's more of a random thread post, but I was thinking that I'm glad most shit that would happily eat you like seagulls, cockroaches and crabs are small.
I'm really only tipsy, but it's wild to me to think about how the "Any good shows lately?" thread has been around for 13 years. or how this thread has been around for over a decade. anyway i hope the bonnaroo lineup is good next year so I can go to this festival again.

The two thousand several hundred day streak of drinking comes to an end today. I could pull over and get a beer but I'm in Baytown and want to get to Austin. I will have a drink in Austin, but it's after midnight. It's been a good run and one I won't see again. Y'all mfs have some catching up to do.

Jeez
I think my record of consecutive days with at least one beer is two weeks, and that was in college 10 years ago. I usually go 3-4 days a week without.

There were 2 nights in 2009 or 2010 when it was too cold to go out to the store so I didn’t drink. That’s the last time before yesterday. TBH it’s not like I was smashed all those days. Lots of nights were a couple beers or a bourbon or whatever. I had fun with that run. I rarely day drink except NFL Sundays, vacation or festival days. But I like to have a couple of bourbon and Perriers at night. I learned that I lost my taste for sugar soda mixers and also that I don’t really like straight vodka or tequila much anymore.
BUT I CAN SAY THAT I LOVE YOU GUYS. I AM THAT DRUNK.
:hearts:
Haha. I fell asleep early last night, with a drinking buzz. Jim Beam handles are on sale at Winn dixie for 20.99, so I figured I’d get a couple to tie me over for a while. I forgot it was the end of savings time but my phones didn’t. So I had 4 1/2 hours until saints bucs kickoff. Wtf am I supposed to do in the early morning? I caught RTJ on encore from Pitchfork Paris and remembered I missed badbadnotgood so yeah, put in the encore replay of that. But now it’s like 9:20 and still nothing to do. Alright I can kick back with another viewing of sensantional Foo Fighters short Voodoo set. Still as great as it was last weekend. And with this, it’s time to crack open a breakfast beam. I’m going to go with San Pelegrino and not cornflakes though.
Edit to say with the crying guy from My hero to Dave’s hearts for the city to Rufus Taylor (son of Roger Taylor of Queen) sitting in for Taylor Hawkins on drums for Under Pressure. Damn. That was an action packed 90 minutes. FF = Top 1
In New Orleans. Spent hours at a brunch place drinking endless Mimosas. Is this heaven? Now hanging with Tajh Boyd at the parade since he now works with me. Got many hugs when I told him I won the Clemson softball project. Now onto hurricanes, because why not? Thank god for layers. Back to catching beads. Happy New Years, y’all. Love you, mean it.
PS. I bet NOLA keeps the bead making people in business. So. Many. Beads.
