Yeah, even my three-legged kitty is mad at Jim Tobin ~~~
I will wear this shirt during the car searches on the first day. I'm sure all of the workers/locals will know who he is. After that, I will make it a flag at our camp. I bet Jim Tobin would shi*t knowing that his name is on something that's been tie-dyed (GASP)!! He can bite me.
So is that church sign assuming people are going to be over dosing? I went to a christian school for 10 years, this is why i quit and have such a sour outlook on churches. Most of the people going to them are some of the meanest people ever. So, if Bushy Branch Church or whatever it is, is hating on ROO.....then I say to hell with that church and its people. Sorry if Im completely wrong about this but damnit man, church can really piss me off sometime.......LET THEE WHO HAS NOT SINNED CAST THE FIRST STONE!!!!!...why cant people be happy that kids can come together and get along for 4 days. I have other things Id like to say about that church but Im not going to cause there may be some good people there, doubtful though. The people there need to probably look at there own kids who probably will be getting fucked up in town during Bonnaroo, and realize their kids are no better or worse than us. I hope Im wrong about this whole thing tho and that I miss interpreted the sign.
I get what you are saying. I was raised christian, but an no longer one (not that I don't believe in Jesus, just not the skewed and blurred version of what his message has become) and would call myself spiritual if anything.
I believe everyone is entitled to thier own opinions, it's when those opinions become more rigid and unbending that I tend to stop wanting to listen to what someone has to say.
I've had many a conversation with priests, rabbis, monks, gurus, etc. and all have come to the same end, which is be a good person, respect others and respect the earth, and you will find heaven in yourself. not once in any of those conversations did I get chastised for not being of that particular religion, and most of those figures actually thought that I had the right idea, more or less...
it's not so much the specifics of what you believe, but how you apply those virtues to your life.

Thats exactly how I feel man. I try to be good to people and respect everyone. My mom goes to church a lot and really respects how I feel about ORGANIZED religion. I think religion can teach people very valuable lessons like treat people good, but then it's almost always leads to hypocrisy. One of my best friends who wanted to come to roo but couldnt cause of money, lives with his grandpa who is a preacher. I alwasy feel bad turning down his requests to come to church but his grandson also refuses to go. I even saw Marilyn Manson one time say....I think the Bible has some good things in it........I mean you cant hate on somethin too much that wants people to be good to each other, but a lot of people let it cloud there judgement and automatically assume someone is horrible and going to hell. I think standing outside abortion clinics telling girls they're murderers and saying "God hates f*gs" is way more un-christian than anything I might do. I thought God loved everyone even sinners. But some are always going to have a very narrow minded outlook. What can ya do?
Edit lol : I know what I'll do, what I always do, kill them bastards with kindness
Yep, they were $1 today at Target. We have four for the two of us, but I went ahead and grabbed three more for Justin's friend and whoever else needs them. If nothing else, we can sit on them during shows if the ground is soggy.
Oh you found the $1 camping stuff in the junk section at the front of Target I see. My wife and I stumbled onto that on Friday. Some cool stuff in there for sure.
Anyhow, I just noticed the updated wording... I will get it done in Photoshop today and try to setup something where people can order them. I don't want to make any money on the shirts so I'll try to find somewhere that I can sell them for cost only without having to worry about where to send the markup. Besides, we got a message to get out
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
cafepress kinda sucks because its like 12 bucks for a shirt. plus i don't know if they'd get to people in time.
Yeah, the shipping thing kinda scares me. I guess at this point it probably makes more sense to keep it as a pure grassroots effort. Everyone make your own shirt to say hi to Jim. I gotta admit that tie dye shirt looks way cooler than anything from cafepress.
Time for another update, unfortunately it has to be more of a negative one!
I am absolutely phucking teaming right now so please excuse any typing errors or language!!!
So Kramer was told yesterday that the cops may be coming about the girls stuff form the red tent. I stopped by this afternoon to ask hum if anything had happened.
Well, something certainly did happen!!
He told me that when was awaken around 1:00 today by a booming voice of "SIR PLEASE STEP OUT OF THE TENT" and when he looked up, he was met with a badge and a gun, YES A PHUCKING GUN!!!
This azzhole cop was point\ng his GODDAMM GUN at Kramer!!!
When he came out of his tent, there were 5 cops standing there and started to give him the third degree!!
Where's the girls digital camera, wheres her stuf!!!
So he explained what he and I had did the day they were ousted from their spot and that he had no idea where her stuff was!
Thay took his id and ran it warrants and then started rumaging through his stuff!
They asked him if he had a ticket and he said yes, they were like let us see it,and he said he didn't have. They were like oh so youre lying huh?? He, told them he did'nt HAVE it, but had one on the way. And they were like, you need to be straight with us!!!
This is on provate property, where he has permission from the land owner, and with NO WARRANT!!!!!
They told him that he better not cause any trouble and that they would be back if there was anything missing or any trouble. He tried to tell them that he hadn't caused any trouble at all.
He said they kept cutting him off and wouldn't let him speak and were extremely nasty!
The guy (Doug, the federal air mashall which I haven't told you guys about, but is cool with Kramer and has helped us) was cutting the field and came over just as the cops were leaving. He asked Kramer what happened and he told Kramer that if they come back to tell them to leave and come back with a warrant and to deliver the warrant to the house onthe property.
Then the lady who owns the property came out and basically told him the same thing, if they come back, go to hell and come back with a warrant.
I told Kramer that we needed to get this info to the local paper and he asked me not to. He said he didn't want any more exposure and wanted to lay low until the festival. The past 3 day have been pretty tough on him!
I want to put this out that I CAN NOT CONFIRM IF JIM TOBIN IS RESPOSNSIBLE FOR THESE ACTIONS, but.....???????
I am also afraid that with this guys power within bonnaroo, he may prevent Kramer from getting a wristband on my guestlist so in light of that I am setting up a paypal acount and accepting donations to the get Kramer a ticket fund.
I need about $210.00 and will buy him a ticket at the local radio station. IF, I can get him on my list, I will give him the money to use as he pleases.
If you guys REALLY support Kramer, then donate a buck or two.
I will post pictures of KRamer with his ticket after we get it.
I am going to start a new thread after I get the pay pal account set up so give me about 10 - 15 mintues!
dmb--give me your address--i'll send $20 towards the effort-----my extra ticket got claimed otherwise i would have sent that along----------- im working on my camp kramer tee--cant wait for my hug peace all
Yes, I used a black Sharpie on the front and purple/violet Sharpie on the back. I love my Sharpies. ;D
you have such neat handwriting
LMAO - I hear that all day long at work. Thanks But I'll let you in on a little secret ... that shirt is ribbed, which makes it easy to do straight lines, etc.
i know, we should bring blank shirts for Andrea to do ours for us
Hell, I wish I could too. It was tons of fun. The girl I'm going to Roo with (Kelly) would love to tie-dye shirts for everyone (she tie-dyes everything that isn't nailed down) but she's in Kansas City working a trial (she's a paralegal).
