Blind Faith? Just got finished reading the review of the show in USA Today and it looked like they rocked out. If we didn't get a Zeppelin you would think that they could get us some Blind Faith.
I'm cool with the line-up, but take out Metallica and or Jack Johnson and put up a Blind Faith in any of the two spots and you have the best lineup yet.
This has nothing to do with Metallica or Jack Johnson, but everything to do with two of the greatest musicians of all time.
Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.
I imagine it wasn't much of an option. Winwood is on tour opening for Tom Petty, promoting his new cd, and Clapton's doing his own thing headlining fests all summer.
Incidentally, there is a gap in Winwood's schedule, so it's still feasible he could play Bonnaroo. I would consider Clapton more of an outside shot.
I understand that. I just always think of Bonnaroo being able to get whoever they want. Maybe it is a little bit of an idealistic view, but I just have faith that what they want they can get and who wouldn't want this.

robert randolph is opening at some point for clapton this year, clapton alone or with winwood at bonnaroo would be one of the best shows ever on the farm

Oh, to dream... Blind Faith would be the best headliner ever to this point but I don't see it happening. Winwood would be more likely an outside possibility (I think he actually lives in TN) and he tore the place down when he played roo the last time, here's hoping...

Blind Faith would be amazing. They could show up, play Can't Find My Way Home, then leave and I would be happy.
I didn't even know they were playing together again. The jams on disc 2 of their remastered are greatness, but it looks like they played mostly covers at MSG.
