Yeah I can't believe they are on only an hour at Langerado and close to the end of Sunday. I'll stay just for them though...well them and The National.
Anyway there stuff is good. I can't really point to another band that their instrumentation sounds like but they have some distinct elements of Meddle era Pink Floyd.
i managed to see them 3 times in one weekend. hands down they are my favorite band. i assure you they put on an amazing show. these guys can seriously rock! def. check them out. if you dont like what you hear, then you're nuts. heres some pics...

maybe i caught a bad show then. i saw them in toledo about 2 years ago i think it was now and i thought they were pretty bad. i heard a couple of their songs on the radio that i thought sounded good, but they just didnt do it for me live. the lead singer sounded like he was trying very very hard to be morrison and he wasnt able to pull it off.
if theres nothin else playin that i wanna see when they are on maybe ill give them a second chance.
i saw them about 2 years ago too. and i know what you were saying... weren't that good.
but believe me, this last tour they just went on seriously changed my mind about them as a live band. i think it could also be the atmosphere. i saw them in pittsburgh and it was pretty boring cause the people in pgh are boring. but i saw them in cleveland and it was probably one of the most fun shows i've ever been to.

"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
their guitar work can be INSANE, if I get a change I'll see them just for that reason, but if something else I wanna see is scheduled during them, I'm gonna have to pass.
I'm hoping they play the same time that Mute Math did last year. That'd be a crazy way to start the weekend. Has anyone seen anything on possible days/times they could be playing?

I would love them to play Thurs night as well.
They are incredible and one of my favorite bands. Seen them about 4 or 5 times.
Also, don't forget to check out their EPs when you start listening to them. "They Make Beer Commercials Like This" is an unbelievable ep. Fine + 2 Pts is such a danceathon.

i bought that e.p. on a whim a couple years back, enjoyed, and then kind of just held off since then, but Fine + 2 Pts is suuuuuperfly
I'm listening to the tracks up on myspace. I've been meaning to check them out for awhile, but never got around to it. Nothing too special or earth-shattering, but definitely a solid band. We'll see what kind of competition they have when the lineup comes out.
