Bonnaroo returns for the 5th consecutive year June 16 - 18 as Manchester is the host city once again for one of the largest outdoor festivals in the Southeast. As in the past four years, Chief Ross Simmons and Mayor Johnnie Brown would like to request the help of everyone to make this year a safe one.
The traffic route will be the same as last year with most of the traffic coming in on Highway 55. An I-24 west bound exait at the 112 off ramp will be opened again this year to help keep traffic flowing directly into the site. At peak entry times, Bushy Branch Road and a portion of Ragsdale Road will be one-way traffic , and the Manchester Police Department will strive to keep the local traffic moving smoothly.
All city police officers will be working 12-hour shifts starting June 13th due to people arriving early at the Bonnaroo site. Our police department's main concern is keeping our local citizenry safe and giving them the ability to go about their daily routine with as little inconvenience as possible. Bonnaroo's promoters will work closely with law enforcement to help assure safety during the event.
Please remember to drive defensively, be courteous, and have lots of patience. Our local citizens reflect Manchester's atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. This sends a positive message to our many visitors and we are very proud of the southern hospitality our townspeople share with our many tourists and travelers who stop in the area through the year.

yeah, traffic wasn't bad at all last year (from what I've read, it was horrible in 02 and 03). but it does look like it'll be better this year. anybody else notice that article didn't sound negative in anyway? come on manchester, lets extend the lease another couple of years!

Last weekend they cut and bailed the main field. I just got home a few minutes ago, and they were cutting the other camping fields. They also had the main gate and delivery gate wide open for the first time today. There's a few semi trailers are out there too, but there aren't workers out and about yet.
