Is anyone else as excited as I am for Sigur Rós? I really think they'll be the highlight of my weekend. A late night set from them would be amazing. Plus, they have a new album coming out this summer/fall, so they'll likely play new tunes.

This is the best news on the lineup for me. I hope they play a let night tent set until the sun pokes out. How glorious would it be to end a day of music with them?
As some one who took part in Sigur Ros' breath taking live show I can honestly say nothing will keep from getting a good viewing spot for this bang... Soft and beautiful as well as powerful and inspiring. Both visually and aurally breathtaking.
This is certainly going to be the highlight of the festy...
Like many, this is one of those bands I've held my breath for the past few years. Plus, it has been a few years since I've last seen them! I'm really, really curious as to where they'll pop up on the schedule.
I don't know, I see them getting a full latenight set. I can't imagine seeing them while any shred of the sun is still shining, that would almost detract from the experience.
I was blown away when I saw them at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Valentine's Day '06 -- and last summer, I married my girlfriend who took me to that show. Sigur Rós is love and joy. Watching the sunrise to that music would be the ultimate Bonnaroo experience. My vote is for a late night set.
Yea, I'm super excited for Sigur Ros. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about their live shows. Their albums really take you away to another place, they are so mind encompassing. I really can't imagine what the live show will be like. Do they have some serious visuals going on or what? Anyone with past experiences seeing them live please help me out here.
Yes, they have visuals as part of the show. When I saw them in 2006, they used a large screen in front of the stage for some songs, and it projected their elongated shadows onto it from behind them for a really cool effect. The front of the screens had videos that matched up with the music.
You can also go to their Web site in the tour section and find links to fan reviews of each show. I did that before I saw them, and I got a taste of what a Sigur Ros show is like. Seeing them live is beyond words.
Hoppipolla/Mea Bloanasir on Later with Jools Holland
Hoppipolla (audience video, probably best representation of what you'll see on the stage)
Takk/Glosoli
Also for those who are interested, I found this documentary on their Takk... album. I haven't watched it yet, but I plan on it. - part 1 - part 2 - part 3
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

K so I listened to one of their CDs (the one with no name) and I honestly don't get them..... What am I missing? Going by the other bands I love, I think I should like them.
