seems like more of the original vibe at Lang than the "MTV" (or whatever people are calling this lineup).
i think the big problem here for everybody was the clarification of all our fears. Metallica at the roo? No way. Jack Johnson headlining Coachella, no way he would do that at the roo. then the lineup is out and the we see Metallica and JJ staring us in the face in the first three words. Also, a lot of the bigger names are way down on the list which leads us to believe that they are not as important to the community as they once were. I am still trying to take it all in, just like everyone else. The roo is all about teh music and the love that everybody has for MUSIC. Some are good, some are bad, some we will choose to stay away from, and some we will learn to love all because we caught one song passing by a tent and now we go and get their album. This festival is changing and evolving even as the festival occurs. Does anyone remember the tiny little movie tent that paricle played in as a late night stage the first year? All I am saying is the shock is over and we had to accept it. We will all learn to love it and more than likely, we will all be there anyway because it is our heart and soul of every summer.
