After 100+ pages and 4 days of non-stop clue guessing, I think it's totally understandable and acceptable for everyone to be disappointed. After the frenzy we worked ourselves into, how could we not be a little bummed by the line-up?
Just give it a couple of days to let it sink in before you totally write the Roo off this year.

You know, I spent forty-five minutes on the phone with my friend telling him I wasn't going to the Kanye show with him at 'roo this year. Then I realized that it's the Glow in the Dark tour, which means Kanye and Lupe should yield a setup similar to the Aesop Rock/El-P/DJ Shadow facecrush we saw last year. In the proper(ly induced) mood, Kanye wouldn't be bad at all. And Lupe puts on an amazing show. I've seen him live three times and have never been disappointed.
As for Metallica, I'm less than enthused. But the thing is, I'll be there. That's where AC Superfly has me: I'll keep coming until they cut the B List acts and jam bands out of the lineup.

I may or may not catch Metallica; I do what I want when I'm at Roo. I could end up napping, drinking, grilling some burgers, or walking around. That's the beauty of Roo to me, the fact that I can do what I want without worry about what I'm missing. It's not what you're missing, it's what your experiencing at the moment that is important.

Talib Kwali will play with Kanye as well as Lupe, and it's gonna be HOT!
Ah, yes. And I assume it will go Talib, Lupe, Kanye. Talib is an impressive live performer (caught him twice), but I can't say I've ever been blown away. The first time I saw him I wasn't that into hip-hop, and the second time I saw him he was on a bill that included Nas, Wu Tang, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Immortal Technique, so he may have just been outperformed.

Madness?! This is 300!
I love me some Immortal Technique. I agree that Talib doesn't have a commanding stage presence, but nevertheless I'm excited to see him perform for the first time at the Roo.
Clue #7 "Rumors are just rumors, but twist them sideways, grow your humor hair and they become a more yen reality. No, this is not about Fleetwood Mac"
Hmmm since this one is still sketchy and being optimistic of more acts... what about the phrase "yen". If it's a type than nevermind, but if it's not I think it has to do with something.
Yen pretty much only refers to the Japanese currency, thus a Japanese band. These bands are the best I could find when it comes to pertaining to Japan.
Mono Boredoms Tokyo Police Club Acid Mothers Temple *Probably the most fitting*

glad you heard "sink" because everyone else seemed to hear "seek" earlier and assumed there was more to the clue...it said disregard O.A.S.I.S. ...that's all.
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."

YIN. Nighttime. Dark. Latenight.
Only I don't see Lez Zeppelin getting a latenight spot.

Well I chose to delve into this a bit more, and I'm probably off, but for the hell of it I looked into this episode more.
First, Charlie plays the tune to "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys on the keypad.
Second, it was the season finale entitled, "Through the Looking Glass". There are several songs with this title by the following bands:
When you search "organization for the advancement of instruction information standards" you get this: The Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards

Nothing conclusive, but the clue Arizona in Manchester, the best I can surmise is that they're talking about a band from Arizona playing in Manchester... uhhh maybe it's a little too surfaced, but whatever, these are pretty much any band remotely popular coming out of Arizona:
Gin Blossoms Alice Cooper Stevie Nicks Greeley Estates The Format The Bled The Sun City Girls Authority Zero Jimmy Eat World
I was thinking that it might allude to Eddie Vedder writing on his arm on MTV Unplugged. Remember when he wrote Pro-choice or whatever? Yeah, that's a stretch.
