Yep...not looking so good now with the Plant/Krauss dates the way they are I even doubt Sting could've pulled off something similar last year and isn't he like crazy healthy/fit!?
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
Plant/Krauss doesn't compare, they really don't do it for me. I will be at their show hoping they cover some zep songs just so I can hear Plant play zep, I really doubt I'll be able to afford their world tour, so this is as close as I come =/
Am I the only one who noticed that the latest artist announcement can be unscrambled to read:
Led Zeppelin will play at Bonnaroo 2008
ar roud to announc the foowng adtios to the Music & Arts Festiva ineu:
C Power
appa s Zappa
The Disco Biscuits
MSTRKRFT
Chromeo
There's no way this can be a coincidence. This absolutely has to be proof. Yay, Zeppelin will be at 'Roo this year. Or not................ probably not.

I've done more decoding and have gotten to this point:
Led Zeppelin will play at Bonnaroo 2008 - Rock Music at the farm - Bonham too - zero pct cost - eat pure custard in this fat nuns soup of the rat wives god & die or piss cow papa
OK -- admittedly the last part gets a little strange. But the first part seems pretty clear.
Okay, don't blast me for this because I never watch this channel...right that's always the case when someone says that in the beginning, but this is for real.
They had Plant/Krause on CROSSROADS on CMT. And let me tell you it was awesome. They played for a small crowd but their set consisted of about half zep songs. And they were killer, totally different tune and pace. Burnett didn't sit down once during the show they did, he was killing it. Look for it on CMT and check it out, it's worth seeing and if they are half as good, you'll be blown away.
FYI, I haven't heard their cd, and I'm guessing they don't do any zep covers on it??? That's hard to imagine with the songs they were playing. She hits the high notes Plant can't do anymore and he's got the smokey voice for some of their great blues riffs.
yea i think plant/krause is boring and i dont know if im even goin to check that out i heard the cd and it sounded terrible but whatev having plant there will be cool if he gets on superjam

I'd have to say you didnt actually listen to the album if "it sounded terrible" is your review.
I figure I'll offer my two cents. Bonnaroo is fun, don't get me wrong. But when it comes down to it, it's about MAKING MONEY. If they were going to book an act that would ensure the festival would sell out in a matter of minutes, they would have already announced it.
"Robert Plant says no to Led Zeppelin world tour and £100m EXCLUSIVE Plant says No to a world tour.. and £100M By Sean Hamilton Showbiz Editor
Robert Plant has turned down an extra £100million fortune to take Led Zeppelin on a world tour.
The rock legend wants to concentrate on his new partnership with US country singer Alison Krauss... spelling the likely end of the famous band.
Led Zep fans had been longing for a tour announcement since last year - when the 1970s superstars reformed for a one-off show at London's O2 Arena.
Surviving members Plant, Robert Page and John Paul Jones were offered a guaranteed £100m each for a tour of North America and Europe after a million fans applied for O2 tickets.
But after extensive talks Led Zep - best known for the song Stairway To Heaven - decided against the moneymaking opportunity.
Guitarist Jimmy Page, 64, was keen to do the tour this year and was backed by bass player John Paul, 62.
But singer Plant, 59 - already worth an estimated £70million - wants to concentrate on his new success with US country singer Krauss. The pair's duet album Raising Sand went to No 2 in America and Britain and they are starting their own tour in April.
A band source said: "Despite the enormous offer, the decision did not come down to money. They always said they would do the one-off show and then see how they felt.
"Jimmy had enjoyed the concert in December enough to want to tour. He argued they still had something to offer. He likes the idea of another chapter in the band - the grown-up tour.
"John sided with Jimmy. He loved making music with the others again.
"But Robert wanted to leave last year's concert as their legacy. They had proved they could still do it and that was enough.
"He has other commitments and is happier looking forward to those. Robert put the mockers on the tour."
Not going to happen folks and as previously stated, of they had Led Zeppelin to announce as a headliner, they'd have announced it...
^^^ I don't see anything in that article with an actual QUOTE from Plant. I don't think they'll be at the farm this year, but I could still see a tour later on...like Page said in Japan earlier this year.

If it really is Led Zeppelin, isn't this EXACTLY how we figured it would go down? Putting them on the initial announcement would have been unfair to all the Bonnaroo faithful, but now that the hardcore Bonnarooers have gotten their tickets, it's safe to drop the Zeppelin bombshell. I mean, there was the anonymous tip about Zeppelin and Metallica headlining 'roo way back in December . . . whoever was behind that must have been in the know.
The only obstacle is Plant's tour with Krauss, which would make Sunday the only day Zeppelin could play, and also limits their ability to rehearse.

Hopefully, you've got it all figure out. It all seems so logical.
I hope so. That could get crazy though, remember how much tickets were for the O2 show? I hope most hard core 'roo fans wont give up their ticket but if they start going for three times face a lot will. Well maybe not the hardcore but the lukewarm for sure.
