I don't think Zepplin will be there but if they are I fear the VIP will be twice as big and prices will go way up I could see 300-400 dollar tickets and if Metallica is there I will never go back to bonnaroo All Good here I come.

Inforoo never ceases to astound me. I casually flip through once a week like I always do this time of year and low and behold the first marginally possible rumor thread starts. Zeppelin and Metallica to headline!!!!!!!
I of course fall off my chair (which for those who don't know me is not a pretty sight, maybe even dangerous) I have waited all my life to see LZ. Even if not true, considering the possibility of "communication breakdown" at dusk oooooooooooo.
So I move on to the first 30 or so posts. One mentions how exciting LZ would be. 28 (slight exag) talks about how Metallica would ruin roo and one discounts the rumor because they think Pheeeeeeesh is playing two nights.
Give me a break. It would be Led Zeppelin.....Who cares if the other 100 bands are elementary flutiphone ensembles. ITs friggin Led Zeppelin.
Yes, but the Zeppelin rumor has been being discussed for weeks, in numerous different threads. This is the first time Metallica came up. That's the big news then, not another unsubstantiated rumor about Zeppelin, of which there have already been dozens
but who cares if metallica plays or not? everyone bitched about tool last year and they were one of the best shows i have ever seen. there will be 100 other bands there. there are plenty of other festivals to choose from if you are so shallow as to not attend due to one bands appearance. i have not been a big fan of a lot of the bands that have played sunday night. i never complain, i just go and watch them for a bit, if i like them i stay, if not, i leave. very simple.

Everyone is just mad bcause of the people that they think will come with Metallica. Metallica was a first love of mine. Along w/ Megadeth! ahha. But the way I see it, the Metallica fans that everyone seems to be afraid of, are probably more afraid of the jam scene. Those Metallica fans wont come to Bonnaroo. They will just catch them during an arena show or something. My two cents anyway..
But then again..They are opening for Led Zeppelin... Well according to this rumor anyways...
I see the Black Crowes opening for them...but i'm not an insider...just got a wandering mind. like most...
is anybody watching monday night football?? every time they go to a break, a commercial, or a time out is called, they play a zeppelin song! EVERY TIME! if this is not an indication of something bubbling up (tour) i don't know what is. to many media outlets talking about it for something NOT to be happening. a tour i guarentee. zep at roo 75%.
Billboard does the rumor stuff quite a bit actually. A previous poster is correct about last year. This time last year EVERYONE was positive that Pearl Jam was a Roo headliner. For that matter there was that constant rumor about Tom Waits. I'd take anything like that with a spoonful of salt.
Jesus H Christ is conducting the flute ensemble - so he will be there.
as far as LedZep... hmm, interesting. If that's true, I hope they offer a presale to people that have gone to roo before, but I doubt they will. I dont think superfly will care if people who have gone before profit from resales or new people profit from resales. The only saving grace is that thier ticket sales aren't from tickemaster or some other ticket source where professional scalpers have an "in".
besides, there arent that many people that will fly/drive to freakin TN to see a band thats part of 4 day festival. even if it is led zeppelin.

No offense, but I think if you're looking for possible Roo leads, I would look somewhere other than Monday Night Football.... just my opinion though... Who knows, maybe you're on to something. Superfly is mighty subtle these days...
nah, i agree with him - there was a lot of led zep on during the game... if they are at roo or not, who knows. but all signs are pointing to a tour after this reunion gig. ive read interviews where the band members were saying things like "it'd be strange to just do one show..."

i did not mean this is a direct link to roo or SF. i'm not putting all my hopes into a football game, trust me. i just meant that way too many media outlets (rolling stone, billboard, news aritcals, interviews, hints from the band, not to mention a new Mothership cd release, new and extended version of Song Remains the Same dvd, and monday night football, just to name a few) are talking about Led Zeppelin for something not to be stiring up. i may be wrong but i truely feel that they will tour. maybe not at roo, but they will tour.
anybody remember 1994? how many hints (tons) were out there before they announced woodstock? if LZ makes a pepsi commercial (and god i hope not) you can count on a tour!
1995? Page and Plant do mtv unpluged, then release No Quarter cd. what next you ask? BLAMMO!! TOUR BABY!!

so if zeppelin DID play, what would be one song that you'd be heartbroken over if you didn't hear them perform it at the roo?
though i'd still be pretty freakin stoked at having seen led zeppelin, if they didn't perform 'since i've been loving you' i'd be really, really extremely sad.
