karma to you, sir....but could it be a ploy to quickly clime the ranks of the neverending karma struggle quickly and without serious effort? i wonder...lol
Given that Rage Against The Machine did a bunch of festival shows in 2007 and will be doing some in 2008, do you think Superfly would book RATM for Roo 2008? I am not saying they should and I am not sure how they would fit in at Roo, but is it too far-fetched to think so?

I've been wondering a lot about headliners. No one seems to have any idea. Aside from Zep (still consider it a possibility, they'd have to tour though), here's what I think: The Cure Neil Young
And that's it. Of course, they have to have the usual Sunday night jam band, but I can't even think of who that'd be. While I think My Morning Jacket could pull it off, realistically, they're not big enough for Superfly to put in a headlining slot. I definitely think they'll get bumped up to the main stage this year, though. Either that or another late night show, except this year on the Which Stage
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

not sure about the cure, but they will be in the southern states: 11 TAMPA St Pete Times Forum 13 FT LAUDERDALE Bank Atlantic Center – ADDED SHOW 15 ATLANTA Gwinnett Center
i would love to see the cure. haven't seen them since their show in columbia, md during Dream Tour 2000. if they would ever come to minneapolis again... i think the last time they were here was '96.
Hello everyone, i'm a first time poster but a long time lurker...
Could Sonic Youth make an appearance? I know they are starting to play some shows in support of the re-release of Daydream Nation.
Its a possibility, but they have played the roo twiace already, so I wouldn't hold my breath for it. I would be happy if they were added though. BTW...welcome aboard.

i actually thought marilyn manson might be an artist in consideration, i don't really give a fuck about him or his music, but i think he could either be a headliner or a latenight show on the which stage, i'm sure in some sick way his live show appeals to some people, just not me...

"Sick"???
Thank god you haven't seen Skinny Puppy's live set, I shudder how sick that must be to you.

Both are good.
I just got some decent manson tickets for the upcoming show in January. should be good - i hate the venue though.
puppy are a whole different thing - not as theatrical, more blood, goop and shocking images. on the whole, more disturbing. better music though.
but yeah - manson is an entertainer in a high degree. like the music or not, he is there to put on a show. sure, he really milks the "religion is bad" bit, but all in all - it's usually a good time.
one time i saw him he rose up from the ground on a cross made of flaming televisions in front of a giant blinking sign that says "drugs"... i mean - you dont see that everyday.
