Weird thing I noticed looking at the Led Zep pic that billboard used on there quashing the rumor story and new article about the show. The drums that are being used in the pic has the Bonnaroo 3 ring symbol on the front. Is that coincidence, I think not. Look for yourself:

thought i'd post this ..
The O2 show is now over .But it was a sellout and sounds like so far it went well. I think IF they tour,Bonnaroo Should be a stop on the tour If you think about it , the Police did it last year . Led Zep this year. HMMMMM Who would it be the yr after next ?
so you know nothing about Led Zeppelin i take it... thats bonham's symbol, sorry yo burst your bubble man.
Well, or it's the one he picked that already existed in a few places (including a favorite beer, a Rosicrucian book where JPJ's symbol comes from too, and just a general symbol of unity). It's not a shock Roo used it as a common symbol and probably a referential nod to Zep. And it's one of many fun (if not meaningful) connections between Roo and LZ.

Ok, so just because I was stating the OBVIOUS about the coincidence of the symbol on his drums and bonnaroo's logo that makes me know nothing about Zep. Get over yourself, I was just trying to help add fuel to the fire of the Zep reunion so the people on the board can have fun with it. Take a chill pill noob, and write something productive, not hating on someone stating a coincidence downing the rumor of Zep playing roo and have a "roo" like symbol in the pic they used for the articles.
Now thats out of the way , the you tube videos look great of the band and it looks like they are having way too much fun to not have a tour next year. Here is wishful thinking that they are playing 30 minutes from my house next year.

"Sources say Plant is committed to tour with Alison Krauss, promoting their collaborative Raising Sand, between June and August. There's always an earlier time frame - but, unless the tour has been in the works for months, large arenas are already committed to sporting events or concerts." - Pollstar pollstar.com/news/viewnews.pl?NewsID=8933
I think it gives strong hope for those who want to see robert plant and alison krauss at bonnaroo this year.

I think the chance of that happening is greater than a chance for Zeppelin...at least for this year...but I'd rather have Zeppelin...but Plant will work too...my hope was to see Zeppelin before Plant...but I'll take what I can get...
That Allison Krauss/Robert Plant was in the Tennessean on Monday I don't know if anyone said that or not.
If you go to the Tennessean and type in Bonnaroo in the search engine you will find an article that says "Reilly performs here, sees Jack White" Click it and scroll down to the bottom where it mentions this:

I saw Plant in 88 on the Now and Zen tour. I thought then that he was the most charismatic singer I had ever seen and still have yet to see anyone top him( although a few have come close for sheer force of personality). As much as I would love to see Zeppelin at Roo , settling for Plant wouldn't be any burden at all.
I agree.....I would love to see Robert Plant period! And Allison Krauss is no slouch either! She has the most AMAZING voice...the purest singing voice I think I have ever heard....I don't care what genre....she can sing it. Like an angel...that's what her voice reminds me of...she doesn't need all the trills and runs and froo froo tricks that the screaming divas need to sound impressive....her voice is just plain simple and pure....and heavenly! ;D ;D ;D

my thoughts exactly... and they are both living legends of their styles of music, sure she's quite a bit younger, and Plant may be a bigger star to the whole world, but to the country/bluegrass folks, i would think she is kind of considered a legend, she does have the voice of an angel, and with a crowd as big as Bonnaroo, that show would definitely have the largest capacity of any of their shows together, so, i guess what i mean is that most bands play to the largest crowds of their careers at festivals like Bonnaroo, and i hope that makes it special for those bands...
Two things, anyone heard anything about Wolfmother? I know they were there last year, but I think they're wrapping up a new album soon too. Plus, what about Modest Mouse? They're two bands I've been destined to miss and either would be nice this year
^^ I don't think we'll see Wolfmother back this year. Just not the sort of band I see Bonnaroo booking in back to back years. Modest Mouse I could see happening.
I'd give just about anything to see Modest Mouse play an extended set made up of mostly older (Moon and before) material. Add a late night to that, and God, we've got ourselves a concert.

i would like to see something like the chili peppers friday zeppelin saturday and phish sunday, but thats asking a hell of a lot...perhaps if they cant get zep, they could convince david byrne to reunite the talking heads...that would be awazing as well.
and i also think there will probably be a really strong late night, probably better than last year with the money theyll be pulling in, which should be pretty damn impressive...lol i guess this is not a rumor at all, i just felt like joining the discussion...
