WAY WAY more than three, but if i had to only see three, i would say: 1. White Stripes( anything Jack White is a part of, im in) 2. The Police ( i mean, come on. This cant be missed, right?) 3. Tie between The Roots and Galactic. ( I believe these 2 shows are where the party is going to be at. Roots are amazing, plus they promised big things, and Galactic with all of those guests. Trust me, if you have to skip the Flips for anything, this would be it!_
I would say Tool. I think a lot of people have pre conceived notions of what they sound like, especially based on radio air play. I think they will end up surprising a lot of people. They aren't just another show, it's an experience. Also if you've never seen SCI I would say them just because it may be your last chance. I do think STS9 will be the better show though.
I really think Manu Chao is going to rip it up at Bonnaroo. They are going to be the band that has a lot of devoted fans that will get the crowd going but there will also be a lot of people who have no idea what they're about and are going to be exposed to some really cool music.
The Kings of Leon are establishing themselves as a serious contender in much lacking rock music scene. Not to mention they're from Nashville so they'll be awesome.
Xavier for a lot of the same reasons I said Manu Chao. He is amazing and has the perfect Bonnaroo vibe. Extremely talented, really positive, and his music is pretty unique.
Tool - dude, it's Tool at Bonnaroo. Miss this set and you're a moron.
Tortoise - it doesn't get much better than Tortoise at the roo.
The Decemberists - Playing on the last day.. i have the feeling i'm gonna need their set. Songs like "Sons and Daughters", "Summersong" "When the War Came", "Perfect Crime pt II", "The Island/Come and See" will be perfect.
1. SCI - because it will one of their last shows and they have had a great Bonnaroo presence. 2. Panic - they close it down and they are my favorite band! 3. Police - never seen them before but they being in the top 5 will be contingent upon whether or not they stray from what they would normally do like Copeland suggests they do. 4. Franti- I love this man and would love to see Keller of Ziggy show up with him for a song or two! 5. STS9- They will bring it hard but it is too bad I will be at cheese. That sucks by the way you Bonnaroo planning gods!!!!!!
