kegs would be fun but not practical. Bonnaroo dosnt want kegs for their own reasons, but us campers really dont want kegs either if you think about it.
the main reasons why you really dont want a keg: it would be tough keep it cold. its tougher to bring any beer with you. its tough to keep it fresh. (you would constantly be untapping and retapping it and chances are haigh that you could forget.) and i know kegs are cheaper than cans, but how much woudl you really save? i bet you would spend the difference and then some on ice alone. nevermind cups and travel containers.
sorry to put a damper on the keg idea, but i just dont see them working outside of a house party.

if you have a truck you can put the keg in a trash can with dry ice and regular ice and it is good for quite a while...much longer then a cooler that gets opened every 3 minutes. but im ok with cans for one weekend as it is much easier and i have no truck
im a fan of cans, because you can have a variety anyways. i love trying other beers from other places, i bring my local pilsner with me. however, the keg wouldnt be that bad to keep cold. dry ice might freeze it, but the right amount would work, with regular ice. weve had kegs with regular ice, cold for 5 days without changing the ice, granted it was in philly, not tennesee. but put the ice in, then cover the ice with blanket, preferably wool. all arounf the outside. youd be amazed. but, i dont oppose the keg rule, id rather have bottles then kegs. but 100,000 people, i dont mind not having bottles.
