the comedy addition today pretty much sealed it for me. i'm of the opinion that they're almost completely done with -band- announcements by this point.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

Here's another reason I believe that we're getting another artist addition for music:
Before today, the list of musicians and the list of comedians on the website each ended with a bullet. The cafe artists did not, as we can assume that list is complete. Today, when the comedians were added, they took the bullet away from the end of the comedians list (signifying that the list is now complete). A bullet remains at the end of the artist list. This is just speculation, but indicates to me that they are not done with the list of musical artists.

definitely a convincing argument for your theory, and i love your scientific approach can't say i have anything to back me up really, just a gut instinct
..and actually I'm kind of hoping that reverse psychology works too and that by saying over and over that they're done i will -in fact- cause them to release more!

"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), The Soul of Man Under Socialism
"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
Alright I know that I doing a 3rd person thing and quoting myself, but I put in a little work on this last night and think that this helps with everyone's hope that there will be more additions. Personally, I think that there will be at least 5 to 8 bands added.
Anyways, here is what I put in the other artist additions thread:
Now for some more in depth analysis. Last year this is how it played out: Thursday - 12 bands Friday - 25 bands (including late nights and counting Common/Lyrics Born/Blackalicious as three separate acts) Saturday - 28 bands Sunday - 20 bands
Now if you look at the Unofficial Schedule Thread for 2007 - Thursday - 13 bands (this leads me to believe that Thursday might be a little bigger than last year, and could have more additions) Friday - 22 bands Saturday - 22 bands Sunday - 19 bands
And then you have to add the bands that are not assigned to a date yet: Franz Ferdinand Aesop Rock T-Bone Burnett The New Orleans Klezmer Allstars Yard Dogs Road Show Now of the above five bands, it is most likely that only three of them will be taking official spots, with Yard Dogs and NO Klezmer Allstars, having their own tent like the Preservation Hall Tent from last year. That means that there are three extra bands with, ten spots left to take. Additionally, if we get as lucky as we can, we might get which stage late nights, which will add two more spots. So that means that there could be up to twelve open spots with only three bands to fill them. Which leaves nine open spots for additions. Some of these spots should be filled with bigger acts, and we know that Gift of Gab will be there as well.
I know that this is a simplified way of looking at things (by only comparing to last year) but it looks good for some more additions.
So unless they are going to leave some open spots, or let some bands play for longer this year, they need to give us some more bands just to fill out all the spots from last year. And hopefully, this helps validate Attornaroo's assumptions with the black dot. We are running out of time Superfly, but, it seems like everything is on a couple week delay this year. I dont think that we are going to get the schedule on the 23rd, but most likely on the 30th. Which gives Superfly two more Wednesdays to get us more additions. I am sure that they are going to try to sell out this year like last year, and maybe they are just trying to figure out which bands they need to get to sell it out. My mathematical mind is trying to figure this one out, hopefully, I get it right.
I think the artists additions have totally sucked this year. I mean I'm glad to have Ornette Coleman and Pete Yorn, but come on.
Last year, if I remember correctly, Phil was an addtion. Fuckin Phil Lesh. This year the additions have just been weak. They should have at least saved a couple big names from the original lineup to build some excitement.

I'm still holding out for DUMB late night.
No, you do not remember correctly, Phil was in the initial lineup.
Also, David Bromberg was a sick add, highly underestimated.
I am confident they still have an ace in the hole.

amen. i saw them with my family for 5 dollars a peace in st. augustine, fl in flager college's old 3 story pool house. to say the least, it was the most beautiful concert i've ever been to.
i'm going where the sun keeps shining, thru' the pouring rain, going where the weather suits my clothes. backing off of the north east wind, sailing on summer breeze, and skipping over the ocean like a stone.

Superfly is smart. I think they are holding out for as long as they have to make all of us become cynical over the whole thing. Then when no one expects it, hit us with something big and we will love them for it.
- Unless I am wrong, then I amend my first statement from "Superfly is smart" to..."Superfly is a giant c@&K-tease"!
- I'm sorry I don't know if "c@&K-tease" is hyphenated or not

Initial lineup? The man was a freaking headliner. An epic headliner. How can you people not remember that?

yeah, but there's a bullet missing between gorgol and junior brown. so there is no rhyme or reason to thier bullets!

Let's start a poll about how many people see a bullet between Gogol Bordello and Junior Brown on the Bonnaroo page in order to determine the security of that fact as a basis for the validity of the theory that more artists will be announced soon. I can't imagine anything more obsessive.
On the bonnaroo Artist page www.bonnaroo.com/2007-lineup I see that there is a bullet at the end of the musicians, but not on the comedians and cafe bands. But on the Bonnaroo poster www.bonnaroo.com/images/admat.jpg there is no bullet between gogol and junior brown. I think the confusion is coming from people looking in two different spots, the poster vs. the line-up page.
