Please let us know who you are! Many are worried that this year Bonnaroo will turn into a neo-punk/emo audience and lack the jam scene among other things in previous roos. Who are you: Neo-punk/emo person Hippie/ Jam person or other (like me) just looking for smiles, good tunes, and good people. Please convince me that this year will not only be as good as the previous years, but even better!! WHO ARE YOU! WHO WHO WHO WHO!!!!!!
Hello all, I'm glad there is a place where we can all talk and get info about roo.. After many years of wanting to go, my time has come and what a line-up it is.....I have to say this looks like the best year yet. As far as Neo-punk,emo person, Hippie, Jam person or other. I'm in the other class, I love all types of music genres

I'm from Michigan. I'm a Phish fan, but in the past few years I've been "searching out". Bonnaroo has help me find a lot of new music that I enjoy, this will be my second roo (I went in 2004). I'm an intern at a French-owned software company.
well I am a criminal defense paralegal - new to the jam band scene (courtesy of my husband and his friends) - cannot wait - am soooo excited - this was actually my idea and he keeps asking me "are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into?"
I'm a radio DJ/producer/slacker for some radio stations in Baton Rouge, La. I'm a bonnaroo vet from '04 and I can't wait to make it back this year...solo this time!
I love all types of music. I've been to Bonnaroo every year, the last two Nawlins Jazz Fests, the last two Austin City Limits Music Festivals (going this year too), saw Phish 48 times, Trey solo 33 times and I work at a venue in NYC where I've videotaped over 300 bands of every genre.
My music collection is about as diverse as one can get. Everywhere from Country to Classical to Metal to Latin Jazz to Hip Hop to Jam to Emo.
im so heady people live their lives by the ways of my words im so dank that i i can chew my toe nails and catch a buzz im so kind ill smoke you up and leave you my glass hahahahhaaaagghh! fuck you...wha?
The bump reminded me that I haven't posted here yet, just sorta jumped in to other threads... here goes!!!
I'm a tech geek, music fan, musician (mainly all electronic), and recovering political junkie from the Dallas area. My wife and I will be attending Bonnaroo for the first time this year fresh off of our first time at Coachella.
We both have been doing the boring job thing since college and decided to give ourselves a break this year. I have a feeling that the following years will wind up looking quite similar to this one.
I initially started getting into music in college in Birmingham, AL and Carrollton, GA introduced to jam bands by a bunch of southern hippies. I moved back to Dallas and tried to find similar people there, but failed (with the exception of a Grisman show once). There I got sucked into electronic music and have tried to maintain as good a balance as possible.
I'm really looking forward to Bonnaroo for inspiration in all aspects of life. My mind won't shut up since Coachella, so I figure it may just short circuit after roo, but what the hell, ya only live once
I'm a 23 year old mother of 3 who has social anxiety and agoraphobia...yet a great love for music. I'm scared to death to go to Bonnaroo. I'm glad this message board is up because it gives me a general idea of what Bonnaroo will be like. I lived in MA for 14 years and I've been in TN for 9 years. I only have an hour and a half drive to Bonnaroo...I had the money....and the time.....I have to go! I'm Scared! Er......I suck with people.....so I hope Bonnaroo is a happy happy place...or I'll just have to stay drunk the whole time. Obviously...my first Roo....I'm going with my younger sister. Being from the Boston...and moving south...I can tell you......it's hot as hell here. Underneath my pessimism....I'm seriously excited about going to Bonnaroo.

Kayla, don't be afraid. There are lots of people, but it's on like a zillion acres so you can always stay a little on the fringes and still take it all in. Remember to breathe.
I suck with people, too. But my efforts to live with a colony of bonobo monkeys didn't end well.

Frankie Says RELAX
Haha...but seriously.....take a deep breath and smile to yourself. Just know that everyone (including urself) is having an absolute blast. Know that you are seperate from the harsh world that gives you the phobias you carry with you every day. Bonnaroo is a wonderful place that you will remember the rest of your life. Remember.....SMILE!!! DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY ;D

Been to Coachella the past 4 years and loved it. First time going to Bonnaroo and looking forward to seeing what it is like. As far as music is concerned... as long as it makes me move, I like it. Daft Punk, Secret Machines, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, Local H, Radiohead, The Cure, Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Widespread, Floyd, Wolfmother, Petty, Underworld, White Stripes and everything in between. RV'ing from Chicago with 6 others and we can't wait. www.myspace.com/stevemaviano
Forgot to answer the ...what kind of music fan are you...question. I bought tickets to Bonnaroo mainly to see Radiohead. I listen to The Beatles a lot....and Radiohead. I've been exposed to all types of music.....but I've been stuck in a Beatles/Radiohead haze for years now. I'm hoping it will subside. I'm the type that...really gets into the stuff I like. I finally got over the Dave Matthews haze....it took a while though...but I'm still a huge fan. I was raised around musicians....I just love music...what can I say. I don't like labels....and I don't know if I fit into any of them anyway.
I'm an everything type of person. I've been listening to jam bands since I was 13 and I've been to tons of shows throughout the years, but I can't pass up some indie rock. I'm as big of a Dead fan as I am Radiohead. moe. the same as Death Cab... etc.. I'm just down for listening to some talented musicians playing music that makes me feel good.

i'm most stoked about radiohead, but only because panic isn't playing
im stoked about the super jam, if only because trey and mike are both going to be at roo and i'd love to hear a phish song floating through the tennesee air
most of my friends think of me as a hippy, but i consider myself a pothead
phil and friends is going to be so amazing. but i like beck a lot too. and oysterhead. i hope claypool plays some frog brigade stuff, and lays off the new material, but i kinda doubt he'll go beyond long in the tooth and buzzards
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
Hi I just joined this forum and thought I would introduce myself.
I'm from Orlando, Florida. I will be attending Roo for the 2nd time and this time my fiance is coming with me.
I really don't classify myself as much of anything. I'm an interactive graphic design with a passion for Art and Music. I scored a INFP on the myers briggs personality and temperment sorter, I wear a size 7 shoe, have a fondness for spiders, my dogs, My 98 percent introverted and 92 percent right brained.
I'm excited to just get away from my normal life for a week and have a blast.

I'm 23 and a student at LSU. This is my first Roo and I don't think I could be anymore excited than I am. I will listen to anything at least once, I try not to discriminate.
My philosophy: good people + good music= good times
I am Kevin, 23 year old student at South Carolina. I love Jammy scene and other, and I am a dancin machine! Bonnaroo is my heaven, and I die in 19 days.
I just like music. I start listening and go for the ride. I believe a series of coincidences bring bands to me, I do not find any of them. They find me.
Yes!! My feelings on this matter concur my friends. I'm a 27 year old marketing rep for a business development firm in Dallas. The Dead found me in High School through Lone Star Dead a Grateful Dead radio hour out of Dallas, Deadhead ever since. I'm a massive fan of Reggae/Dub/Ska, and Bluegrass, Old Crow Medicine, Bela, Younder Mountain, ect . Maybe more musically diverse than anyone I've ever known. I also love Hip Hop. Del The Funky Homosapien, Gang Starr, Tribe Called Quest, Common, Wu Tang ect.. A big fan of the Jam scene as well, moe. Umphrey's McGee, Phish, Widespread, Galactic ect.... I love musical experience and I love the relationships I have made because of music. It allows me freedom in mind and soul.

I'm coming out from Philly PA and this is my first Roo. Soooo excited
Hmm...in response to the music question I guess i am more a ska kid than anything else. I don't just limit myself to that though. I love good honkey donkey music in general...
I'm looking forward to hearing some good live reggae.
My boyfriend and I will be attending our first bonnaroo this year and we are sooo excited. I'm a 20 year old college student (English/History/Gender & Womens' Stuides) from around Pittsburgh. There is lots I want to do, but I am especially pumped for Radiohead.
I'm Hootdaddy, from Columbia, SC; my fifth 'Roo. 44 years old. My son, Scrawberry George, 18, may ride with me, or he may just take his ticket and my money.
I was Talking Head, then a Dead Head, then a Phish Head--perhaps now I'll be a Radio Head...or an Oyster Head. I'm really excited about both, tho O'head may lose to another depending.
SO much to see: UM/Bisco (my first Bisque, may jet to MMJ for a while); Superjam for 4 hours?
I have YET to see the parade.
I've had a byline in the Bonnaroo Beacon the past two years and I hope to get an article in this time, too.
I cook great big breakfast and share them with my PEEEEEEPLES all around me.
I'll be in BFE; look for the picket fence, with any luck the first hard right all the way up to the fence. (My location two of the past three; I'm getting in early again so I'm just sayin')
i am currently baked... no, really I am! 33 from Florida and can not get roo off the mind. I would not classify myself in one fashion or the other... favs will be radiohead, umphreys, beck, vorcza, sonic youth, primusphish, beer, buds and smex.... place face melting smiley here!
