We've wanted to see these Tenn. gents ever since we saw there 04 preformance on thr 04 Roo dvd.and are very AMPED to hear they are on the first announcement! 04,they were a tent act, will Roo give em a well deserved stage slot in 07?or another tent show? either way,we think they will be one of the high energy shows and is a must make show for us!! ohh, their new album's out April 3rd. highly antisipated here!!
I have heard the new album. A little over produced especially since what I like about them is their kind of raw sound. But still very good. I am looking forward to seeing them as well
I love the new album - I think it's a nice step for them. It's a little more mature, a little different from their last two but still retains their signature sound. I think "Fans" and "Ragoo" are two of the best songs they've ever done
I'd say that's an accurate assessment. So many good songs. Knocked Up and Arizona are my favs. They put on a killer show when I saw them in Chicago a few years back.
I have the new album as well and love it. Was given to me by someone close to the band. I agree it has more of a studio sound to it, but not enough to affect the raw style of their music. The lyrics get better and better with each album too. My faves are Arizona and Black Thumb Nail, but I actually do like all of them
"Upstairs, the back room was peppered with VIPs: On the pool table, Brendan Benson of The Raconteurs was cleaning house, while nearby The Pink Spiders charmed a group of gals. The Kings of Leon occupied one corner, with Nathan Followill chatting up good pal Chris Coleman from Luna Halo. Nathan excitedly shared that his band has been bumped up to the main stage for Bonnaroo, a feat that will have them playing for an audience of at least 50,000 and certainly hyping the hell out of their new album, Because Of The Times. Chris quickly quipped that fans can catch him manning the barbecue pit all weekend long. You can't help but love a guy with a sense of humor."
Excited about their jump to What Stage. They deserve it after this album, can't get enough of it. What time does anyone think they will be playing What?
i saw them in a small club a couple of years ago and i was underwhelmed. i have all 3 of their discs plus the holy roller novocaine EP and i love their discs. i am hoping i caught them on an off night.

When does this album come out?
Apr 3rd - in the US
Thank you sir! I heard the single on the radio the other day and it was OK, thou I will admit they seem to have lost some of that ballsy southern swager I heard on the last 2 albums....but hey can't judge one song, these guys will rock n roll, we know this!

i'd say it must've been an off night...i saw them in a midsize club a few years ago and they rocked SO HARD. they also opened for dylan this past fall, and imo they could even have dominated an arena atmosphere if anyone had really been there to see them.
i love them so much that i'm about 90% certain that i'm going to their show in columbus june 13th then driving through the night to make it to manchester at just the right time on thurs....what better way to get pumped for the long drive to roo than a live show, right?
