??? Anyone remember seeing it say Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers on the leaked photo? im a huge fan of Ziggy, and love the current band/cd. But, it would be awesome to see the melody makers at roo, because its one of those rare shows that fit @ roo. If ya dont know, the melody makers consisted of some of the siblings of ziggy marley with him on lead vocals. I have some of their old vinyls, he released the first one when he was like 14? Anyway, anyone else think that would rock?

Ziggy's latest album was released by him simply under Ziggy Marley. Other cds of his have been with the melody makers, but being that his latest record is considered solo i doubt they'll be there. However, he has been playing Melody Makers songs on his tour.
I agree though it would be cool to see the melody makers there

I like anyone who's last name is Marley honestly...
Ziggy has released two solo albums after releasing a Greatest Hits album with the Melody Makers. They split up to pursue solo careers. I would love to see all of them together, not sure if it was a mistake when they put up the Melody Makers as appearing with him, but I hope it wasn't.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
BTW, comparing all of the Marleys is like comparing apples and oranges. Each of the Marleys have their own style and approach to music, which is very respectable. I'm a fan of how each of the Marley bros have broken off and gone in their own direction musically... Pick up "Love Is My Religion" if you haven't yet... It has serious shades of Ziggy and the Melody Makers... It's nothing like "Dragonfly."

I recently saw Stephen & Damian there performance was stellar. Covers of Bob and their own own songs, everything I wanted to hear. Been to a descent amount of shows and it ranked up there with some of the best.
Ziggy has massive potential and I recently listened again to his catalog and I predict big things.
When it comes to Bonnaroo you bring your A game and I am stoked to see Ziggy and (crossed fingers) guests.
I think that it might be a half and half thing. My feeling is that he'll def start off only doing material from his new album, and then maybe he'll swing into the Bob stuff, and possibly guests. All I know is that I'll be there for his set from start to finish...
If I had my interview with him before his set, I was going to ask him to play "One Love," since it's my fav song of all time... If I hear the opening chords of that song while at his set, I'll have a f'n coronary.
I saw Ziggy in October and saw Damien & Stephen with K'Naan two weeks ago.............Both shows rocked! Looking forward to seeing Ziggy again at Roo....

I'm moving to the Carribean mon! This fall and winter.......gonna get some Reggie homeland vibes in Dominica mon! google it......Dominica....... it's an island tropical paradise
A GREAT song. I was listening to a live Ziggy album earlier today, and it gave me chills with how good it is. There's some music that sounds better live than in the studio, and reggae's certainly one of them.
So let the words of I&I mouths And the Iditation of I&I hearts Be acceptable in thy sight Oh JAH! RASTAFARI Who liveth and reigneth in the hearts of man Selah!

I totally agree. I absolutely love this album:
I recommend it to anyone who likes Ziggy/Is trying to get into his music.
I'd be willing to bet that Ben Harper gets out there and joins in for a Bob Marley song or two. The two have played together at concerts before and with Ben following Ziggy immediately, I'd almost guarantee it.

i will use this as a selling point to my wife to see ziggy instead of regina spektor. but then we will have to run from ziggy over to damien rice then back over to ben harper.

ben collabed w/ the marleys during his last tour with damian... so i wouldn't be surprised if ben came out for a song either. ziggy is the last of the marley bros i've yet to see, so this show will be a special one for me as i've always wanted to see ziggy live.
