Animal Collective live, from the 9:30 Club 10/1/07, broadcast on NPR's All Songs Considered concert series.
Has anyone else checked this out? I only just learned of it. It's a free podcast you can get through their website or on iTunes, and it's pretty amazing. The caliber of artists they feature is impressive, and these are FULL, HIGH QUALITY shows. Check 'em out!!

I gotta return after having listened to this and say WOW. This is easily one of the most forward-thinking, impressive metal albums in a long, long time. It'll probably make my top 10 of 2007. Some may find it a bit derivative of Patton projects, but I think it stands very well on its own. If you are into metal at all, PLEASE give this a listen!

Anyone remember this? I hadnt heard it for years, and randomness brought me to it. In the vein of "Judgment Night" soundtrack, except a rock/metal collab with electronic, as opposed to rock/metal with hip-hop.
Some cool tracks here, most notably Prodigy & Tom Morello, and Incubus & Greyboy. Definitely check those two out if you can find this.
1. (Can't You) Trip Like I Do - Filter & Crystal Method 2. Long Hard Road Out Of Hell - Marilyn Manson & Sneaker Pimps 3. Satan - Orbital & Kirk Hammet 4. Kick The P.A. - Korn & The Dust Brothers 5. Tiny Rubberband - Butthole Surfers & Moby 6. For Whom The Bell Tolls (The Irony Of It All) - Metallica & DJ Spooky 7. Torn Apart - Stabbing Westward & Wink 8. Skin Up Pin Up - Mansun & 808 State 9. One Man Army - Prodigy & Tom Morello 10. Spawn - Silverchair & Vitro 11. T-4 Strain - Henry Rollins & Goldie 12. Familiar - Incubus & DJ Greyboy 13. No Remorse (I Wanna Die) - Slayer & Atari Teenage Riot 14. A Plane Scraped It's Belly On A Sooty Yellow Moon - Soul Coughing & Roni Size
Been listening to this band a lot lately. Very good stuff, hope to see them at Roo in '08. I'd say they're like a mix of Radiohead, Modest Mouse and Tool if I had to describe their sound. Just listen to 2080, Sunrise, and Wintertime and you'll see what I mean.
