2 round additions before tix went onsale is a first. I say give it a few weeks. they are up to 67 bands now. only 13 or so more spots left, stretched out over 4 months.

Any chance they'll expand the number of bands this year? Shorter late nights sets? Later late night sets? Earlier morning sets? This is a lot of bands up front.
The music really doesn't carry that far. I was very close to Centeroo in 04, and while you could hear some music from your tent, it was rarely recognizable. If they are playing until 3 AM, why not just keep it rolling? I understand that there are most likely sound ordinances, but if you're going to go until 3 or 4, might as well just keep the party going. Or start earlier in the morning...

My ten luckily was in the first row of car parking right in front of the people with just tents and we could see the top of the Roo sign on center stage, the next annoucments won't be till March
I hope they add The Mars Volta, Particle, maybe The Allmans or Mule, Modest Mouse, Neil Young and Crazyhorse ( PLEASE!), The Queens of the Stone Age, maybe try a change and throw in some System of a Down. This is just my wishlist which could be added to, and some seem slightly far-fetched, but oh well.
I'm with you on that - I love the diversity of this year's artist list (much easier to convince my less jammy friends to come with), but I feel like Superfly needs to cater a bit more to it's core audience with some SCI, TLG, etc. That being said... OYSTERHEAD!!!!!!!! ;D

I definately agree with the above, the diversity is great for bonnaroo. The roo is a festival in a league of its own you cant compare it to the smaller "homey" feeling hippie fests. Bonnaroo is about music and although its drifted from what it was originally its become more diverse. The sad thing is that judging by the initial lineup the jamband scene is loosing its representation in Tennessee. I can only hope the additions are all as good as the first two. *crosses fingers*

here are a couple more for the wishlist as long as we're talking about things that likely won't happen:
Dr. Dog, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco (of course), Tom Waits, Clem Snide, Iron and Wine, Songs:Ohia, Jenny Lewis (with any of her bands), Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle & Sebastian, Broken Social Scene as well as Stars, The Brunettes, John Vanderslice, Okkervil River, The Broken Family Band, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Rufus Wainwright, Dead Can Dance, Mum, Blanche, Ben Harper...and many many more...any of these adds, though highly unlikely, would be absolutely beautiful

Hahaha! Rufus Wainwright would be awesome. I saw him in concert last year and I must say that he is one of the most gay people I have ever seen. He was on stage commenting about his "a$$ crack sweat." Kinda gross, but he's a great performer.
Also, can I reiterate that Ben Harper would be nothing shy of amazing?
out of those i like blanche and broken social scene, but the list is a little too hipster i think. i just saw stars last week and wasn't all that impressed. rufus wainwright would be good though.

Yeah, well, I thought Oysterhead was "defunct" as well, but it turns out they're making a return to the stage...so it's not a totally unjustified wish for NMH...and as far as these bands being too "HIPSTER," what a lame thing to say.

If I sound worked up, that's certainly not the case...I just don't get the hipster terminology...I'm very happy...and if I could pass you my joint electronically I'd let you take a couple hits. Peace.
