Hey, my name is Doug and this is my first Bonnaroo. I hail from the mean streets of IN (Indianapolis for now, mostly Muncie though). Definitely excited for the first time, and hoping to find some fine people on here to possibly caravan with.
Who I'm looking forward to for the 'Roo: Radiohead, Beck, Elvis Costello, Oysterhead, Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, BELA FLECK (all time favorite!!!), Buddy Guy, Ben Folds, Blues Traveller, MMJ, Atmosphere...you get the idea.
I'd love to see the Flaming Lips and/or Tricky added in the coming months, but even without them I'm completely on board!

I'm Justin, and I'm also from Indiana. I actually live in Munster, Indiana, in the northwestern corner of the state, about a half an hour outside of Chicago.
I'm most looking forward to seeing Radiohead, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket, Elvis Costello, Death Cab, DB and Umphrey's, Petty, Beck, Ben Folds, Clap Your Hands, Oysterhead, and Andrew Bird.
Here's hoping they add Sufjan Stevens, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, the Hold Steady, Wilco, and the Flaming Lips. Groovatron is from my hometown, so I'd love to see them added as well. If you haven't seen them, check them out.
Hi, I'm from Memphis, TN and this will be my first year at Bonnaroo. I've always wanted to go, and this is the first year I've had my finances in order at just the right time. And what do you know? I get to go this year AND see my favorite band in the whole world: Radiohead!
Who I'm looking forward to seeing: Radiohead (of course), Beck, Elvis Costello, Bright Eyes, Oysterhead, Phil Lesh, Cat Power (still playing??), and anything else I can cram in between......

Hey whats up im from the Nasty Nati of Ohio, I've been to the last two roos and this one looks to be the headiest of all, Me and my buddies always meet up in Oak ridge and then drive to Manchester if there is anyone in Columbus or Cincinnati looking for ride hit me up.
;DHello one and all. My name is Dwight, I am from Manchester TN all my life (well except for the past 5 when I was in louisville ky) But now I am back in TN with my fiance living it up in spring hill. This will be my 5th bonnaroo, the first one I got in free cause my mom worked a medical tent, since then it has been the talk of many memories from the great friends I have gone with. This one I swear I am going to see all the Bands that mean something to me if it means going by myself to the damn concert. people to not miss this year for me Oysterhead(les is the man), MMJ-they rock, ben folds, bela, radiohead, and if you haven't heard of him by now check out Matisyahu, the guy is absolutely amazing. Caught him saturday night with trey and did not get to see him the next morning due to not wanting to go through all the mud, I didn't fall on my ass once and I wanted to keep it that way.
Hi! I'm Meg, from NYC. I have been to all 4 of the previous Roo's, and aside from the first one, I think I'm most excited for this year's lineup. The thing I love most about the Roo is finding 3 or 4 new bands that I have never heard of but become big-time favorites. Bands from past Roo's that fit into this category: MMJ, Erin McKeown, Marc Broussard, YMSB, Xavier Rudd, Ben Kweller... I go for the jammy mainstays (SCI, Dead, Mule, Panic, Trey, etc.), but I come back every year to hear the next new thing... wonder what it will be this year?!?!
Hi everyone (bonjour tout le monde!) I'm stephbeee and I hail from Toronto, Canada. This will be my first bonnaroo (indeed my first festival-style concert, my first foray so far south into the USA) and I am both excited (and to be completely truthful, I'm feeling slightly daunted too). It was radiohead that brought me to look into Bonnaroo and thus radiohead whom I cannot wait to see, but I have the feeling that like Mel above, it will be the unknown (to me) bands that will also make the festival great. See you all there , Steph.
Alright, since everyone is doing this, here goes. My name is Al and I am from Atlanta. This will be my second roo (04) already got my tickets, just waiting on head count to figure out my RV situation. I have a blast at music festivals and this is one of the best ones (Coachella edges the Roo out slightly). Radiohead is the main reason I am going as they are the best live act that I have ever seen. Beck, Petty, MMJ, Claypool, Soulive, MMW are the other expected highlights. Although I am gearing myself up for some Cat Power, CYHSY, Malkmus, Oysterhead, Bela Fleck, Dungen, Matisyahu - I figure that I have four months to get acquainted with these guys since I figure that I will be seeing them live.
Lets hope that they add the Lips, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Z-trip, Diplo, Tribe, Wu-Tang, K-OS, Dangerdoom, El-p, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush (there is a serious lack of hip-hop so far)
Roger here, I'm trucking from DC to see the show this year. Aside from Radiohead, I've seen many of em and think the lineup is elite this year, couldn't pass it up if I wanted to do so...
But more than any one band (with the exception of MAYBE Radiohead), I'm looking forward to meeting you guys. The people at the show are going to be the best thing about the show in my opinion.
Hey, I'm Anna (obviously), and this will be my first bonnaroo. I'm 18 and I'm originally from Columbus, Ohio, but I'm at school right now in northern Indiana.
I am excited out of my mind for the entire festival, but I'm especially looking forward to Radiohead, Bright Eyes, Petty, and Umphrey's.

Hello, my name is Ben... I'm Currentlly in Afghanistan but I reside in Covington KY. I was wounded last month in combat, so needless to say I have done nothing but go to physical therapy, and surf the web. I came across this whole Bonnaroo concept, and I was hooked. Already got my ticket, and can't wait for June. I won't get back to the states until May, so this is going to be my re- release party, back into a wonderful thing called the realworld.... I'm really looking forward to just getting lost in the masses and see who I meet. My musical tastes are all over the place, so I'm looking forward to seeing some favorites, and leaving with new interests.....

Hello fellow Roosters!! My name is Joey....im a singer/songwriter in a band called TEHOE (to each his own element) www.myspace.com/tehoe Anywayz, this will be my third Roo. I loved it in 04 enough to return in 05. I wasn't going to return again until in saw the lineup and got Roo-Fever once again! Me my buddy's greg and james will be making the trip from Massapequa, Long Island, New York!! Cant wait for Oysterhead, Beck, and Tom Petty!! See ya there!!!!!!
I'm Kampy... live in Laguna Hills, CA; age 34, single, work in advertising as an art director. Never been to 'roo before, but my current roommates went back in '02 and '03 and have told me how great the vibe is. I've done the past few Coachellas and San Diego Street Scenes and also the inaugural Vegoose last Halloween, so I'm not a newbie when it comes to festivals. Radiohead is my favorite band, I'm into alt/indie/emo rock mostly but my roommates are jammers and some of their tastes have rubbed off on me, like STS9 for example, I love them. It seems every fest I go to, I see a few bands for the first time and 1 or 2 of them always blow my mind and I add them to my list of acts I must see every time they come through on tour. That list has grown a lot the past few yrs! I feel like I enjoy music more now than I ever did in my teens or 20s. I attribute a lot of that to the internet and my ever-present iPod. I like to shoot bootleg video, and will be taping Radiohead and Beck, maybe more. At festivals I often end up separated from my friends at the sets I'm really excited about because I like to squeeze up close to the stage and they like to spread out on their blankets. It looks like I may have a female friend with me at Bonnaroo, but that could change between now and June. But I'll definitely be there. No way in hell I'm missing this lineup.
Hey, I'm Phil and I currently live in Louisville, KY. This will be my fourth trip down to Manchester and hopefully not the last. I am most looking forward to Tom Petty, Dr John, Oysterhead, and I am really curious to see the Dresden Dolls, not to mention all the bands I've never really listened to before that always seem to convert me into a new fan every year. Past highlights for me include: '03-Neil Young, Flaming Lips, The Roots, Michael Franti & Spearhead. '04-Dylan, David Byrne, Nellie McKay, Los Lobos '05-Old Crow Medicine Show, Toots & the Maytals, Rilo Kiley, De La Soul, & Trey
Also looking forward to meeting all the great people I always end up meeting at the 'roo.
I'm Harry. I'm less than a week from being 22. I live in Austin. I almost went back in '02, but other obligations required my attention at the time. And since I've been living in Austin, I haven't had any real desire or need to venture outside of Travis County for a show. But this year's lineup combined with the excuse of taking a road trip with my friends as we part ways into the real world made it a must buy for me. Acts I'm looking forward to this year (other than Radiohead): Amadou & Mariam, Stephen Malkmus, Devandra Banhart, Robert Randolph & Beck (among many, many others). My taste in music is definitely eclectic so I'm looking forward to this year's lineup.
The SXSW line up this year seems to not be quite as good as years past. The film part of SXSW has always been the better portion, I thought, because it ends up being less expensive. ACL Fest is a lot more fun.

My names jamie and i live in central ohio. This is my second time to the roo, it was excellent last year, but iv mellowed a bit this year, so hopefully itl be even better. My favorite show last year was the mars volta of course, but the word and hhh05 was up there. This year id suggest checking out stephen malkmus, devendra banhart, and andrew bird. I also believe anything les touches is gold. I was thinking about going to sxsw because i have family there, but im not 21, and although there is a lot of bands id like to check it out, the sets are too short and too spread out to get me out there. If i lived there i think itd be really nice though.

I like the idea of SXSW but its not a festival. It's a industry event...still fun to attend but the roo is much better.
my bro lives in Austin and I have been down in the city during SXSW about 3 years ago, its just the same but with a ton of shows going on. Plus you gotta deal with maybe not getting into a show and wasting your time(which has become a much bigger problem). I would always pick the roo over this kind if event.
Ziggy - Cleveland has a simliar event, more closer to the CMJ Industry event in NYC or the thing in detriot (can't remember name, same idea) but last year it was the same weekend as bonnaroo.
Hi, I'm Jess. I'm from Northern New Jersey and love Bonnaroo! I'm a student at Ramapo College of New Jersey (ramapo.edu) studying literature and environmental studies.
I can't wait to get back in the car and start the long long trip yet again.
This is Libby, from Berkeley, CA. I love music and I love music festivals. I have been to a few festivals in CA, WA, and NY. This summer I planned to try to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (my all-time favorite band) at least once outside of CA, in honor of the band's 30-year anniversary. Also, my boyfriend and I planned to visit a few other states, one of which was Tennessee. So, when my boyfriend discovered Bonnaroo I knew I had to go. We bought our tickets the day they went on sale and now I just have to wait until my boss says it's okay for me to go. (I'm a school secretary and I would be taking off right in the middle of report card time. Oops!) I can't tell you all how excited I am about going to Bonnaroo. So, please, keep your fingers crossed for me so that I can go!
Bands I have seen that I can't wait to see again are Tom Petty, Ricky Skaggs, Matisyahu, Les Claypool, and G. Love. Bands I have not seen that I'm excited to see are Radiohead, Beck, Amadou & Miriam, The Dresen Dolls, Rusted Root, Sasha, Grace Potter, Bettye LaVette, and Balkan Beat Box. If anyone were to be added, I would love it to be Gogol Bordello.
I lived in Austin for a couple years (mid 03-early 05) and the music scene there is more than you could ever ask for. You going to SXSW?
I might see a couple shows. Animal Collective and Skeletons & the Girl-Faced Boys are the two acts I'm particularly interested in this year.
I'm not a huge fan of the lineup this year. It seems more and more label driven which I guess it's been in the past. It just seems more amplified this year because more big name extablished acts are coming into town.

yeah I was very very surprised that Secret Machines are going to play at SXSW.
Have you heard the new single, "Alone, Jealous and Stoned"? Ziggy??? I can't wait for the new album. I love how the make you wait like 3 mins to really get going. It really makes the music so much more cause you wait and it builds and builds and you just want it so bad and then it busts out...wait that sounded kinda dirty...
