I need some direction here. I thought 'roo started on Friday? When do the Thursday bands play? There's one of my "really want to see" groups listed as playing on Thursday. We are planning on arriving mid-morning; does that leave enough time to set up camp, get oriented and still enjoy good tunes?

Last year we were in traffic by aroumd 8-9am, were in the site by around 12-1pm, and were setting up camp around 2-3pm. Camp was totally set up by 4pm, which left us time to walk around and get oriented and start searching for goodies.
The comedy tent cranked up at 7pm - we saw Charlie Murphy at 9pm I think. They had 3 bands play on each of the 3 tents, each with an hour set. That was different from the year before, however, so it may be different again.
I will DEFINITELY be checking out Tortured Soul & Electric Eel Shock, if at all possible.
the wood brothers is definetly my thursday fav. toubab krewe is right up there. the thursday music dosent start until late evening. around sundown if i remember correctly. you should have plenty of time if ya get in line before noon on thursday

Rose Hill Drive was ridiculous last year. My friend I was with differ on a lot of music, but I'm really glad I listened to him on that one. Bonnaroo definitely doesn't jip ya on Thursday. We got into the grounds around noon thursday and actually ran into some friends in all the madness and we walked around for long time and discovered a lot before the first show so dude is right on with his time.
My Thursday will consist of settling in the campgrounds, meeting my fellow Inforoo peeps, check out the comedy tent and a few bands. They also have a few bands playing in the cafe area (Moonshine Still and Lucero). I like Thursday because it allows some up and coming artists to get their name out that maybe you wouldn't necessarily check out.
man i hope i get to see moonshine still, the wood bros, and toubab krewe. if they could arrrange it so that they didnt conflict at all i would be one happy camper!!
I have been streaming their album and wow this seems to be a good way to kick off roo. I can't wait to see them.
Hey, can you post the link you are streaming? Also, as a side note, I'm looking for a link to hear some Dr. John (never heard anything by him - shame, I know).
