last year it seemed to me they opened the gates before thursday morning, by the time we got into general admission it was 2pm-ish and already thousands were set up and partying. this year i'm going VIP, I know they have a seperate entrance, what time do they open it up and how are the lines? Average wait time to get in? thanks for the info. ROO!
The line isn't going to be bad to get into the grounds. The frustrating line for VIP is the one at the hotel where you get your wristbands and parking sticker.
They'll open it early Thursday morning, no earlier than that. It might behoove you to get in line at the hotel early, but other than that no matter what time you get there, it won't be too bad.
They have a convention area in the holiday inn hotel that is about a block down from the entrance. Well last year I waited in a car line for about 3 hours on the "super secret" road that bonnaroo gave me directions to get to VIP. Well there was a huge sign on the highway that said turn here (not so secret). I was trying to get to roo about 11 a.m. but had to stop a few times and didn't get there after the wait until about 4. I later found out if I got there much earlier I would've waited in a line to get my tickets. I guess I lucked out a little, at least I was in the car with my chick, some music, and a cold one. I'm not going out of my way to get there super early this year, around noonish or so is what I'll shoot for this year unless things change. And this year, I'll probably drive around the traffic instead of waiting in the line with the masses for GA, I thought was going where I was going.
VIP - If you arent getting in untill a day late or so, does anyone know if they keep the VIP hotel checkin running, say Friday too?? and did I not see, they set a date for GA tickets but not VIP yet?
