I'm in, just hope they don't expand it again. Actually I hope it shrinks.
I'm definately gonna be back for more just because I have a serious love for corn. I know exactly where I'm aiming at setting up camp. Yeah, hopefully they'll reduce the VIP section and give some land back to the tent only peeps.

I'll be there, instigating water balloon fights and hanging out with shortypants. Last year was my first vip experience out of all of the roos, and I wouldn't trade it. Not for ALL THE CORN IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
If corncat got us all that corn last year, we need to be on the lookout for a surfnturfcat.

Several friends and I camped 100 miles away from Centeroo last year. we were so beat that we barely made it through the Lips and even the early Sunday show Whitestripes show the next day, never did see Widespread. This year 12 of us (some newbies to any festival- including my girl and her friends) are VIPing it. Showers, short walks etc... The food is free during a certain time, yes? 8 of us will be in an RV will it be possible for the rest to set up tents around the vehicle? - important question.
I'm pretty sure we can count chefchick in on this. not sure who else.
It's always such a CF when you get there - I wish there was a way to reserve a large area for inforooers... (mind you, i like meeting everyone at roo - but it's cool to meet people you "know" already).

there are massive, expansive threads on VIP... but yeah, you can do that. show up early, park where no one else is and take all the surrounding spots. you'll be fine.

Was totally planning on VIP but now considering the only band that I couldn't miss at Roo this year is my favorite (Pearl Jam) who I have seen 6 times.... I can deal with the heat and hippies one more year til Led Zeppelin next year!

I am going VIP(possibly RV VIP 4 A/C), last year I didn't have congestive heart failure, but this year I NEED to be close so i can't play the camping lottery! If you see me, DROP SOME WATER ON ME! hahaha

3rd year at the Roo and strongly considering VIP. Here's a question - how quick does it usually sell out - if it does at all? I'd probably be waiting around a month to purchase mine. Also, are non-VIPs even allowed to walk through the area? I'd love to let my poorer friends camp with me but doubt that is possible...

It sold out earlier than GA last year by a couple of weeks, IIRC. If you're going to wait a month, you should be fine.
No one is allowed in VIP without a VIP wristband. According to one security guard I talked to, anyone caught in VIP w/o the correct band is supposed to have their GA band taken and escorted out of the festival. That being said, I seem to remember a story or two about how lax security was on checking for bands at certain checkpoints.
We were supposed to skip this year. You know, actually be responsible and pay some bills, etc. Then came the line-up announcment. I know some folks have been less than happy, but my wife called me and said we're going. Guess I'll see y'all there! HEY FREEDOMOFMUSIC!!!! We'll look ya up!
VIP is the only way to go. Husband and I pay the extra $$$ and our kids only want to stay with the great unwashed. Not only do we get showers and great access to stages, the kids aren't allowed in so we also get some P&Q.
