Old Navy is having a sale on women's tank tops--most of them are only 6 dollars! I've already bought 2 for myself when I get sick of wearing dresses. Here's the link: oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=56257&mlink=5151,1856489,wom_ld&clink=1856489
That bra looks fantastic.... I may have to check it out too! Good Post!
As far as what to wear at night - i have 2 options: i bring jeans and a hooded sweatshirt, or i pack long leggings and a hoodie in my bag and slip those on when the sun goes down if im still in Centeroo. but it's true, once you're in a tent or in a crowd you heat right back up. So this year, I think im gonna stick to the hoodie and leggin's. then when im hot i can just pull off the hoodie and have on a tank, my lovely floaty, twirling kariza and leggings.
Ladies, i can't tell you all how excited I am to see some of you at the brunch, and potentially "spot" you with your GFT pins in the crowd. It's been a weird and difficult year for me since last Roo with the bf breakup. I've been to Roo the past 3 years, and each year was with him, so i've been wondering how it's gonna be w/o him, but you guys make it fun for me again! I love you ladies and can't wait to hang out!!! <3

They're coming to my boutique right after 'roo for a trunk show/fundraiser for victims of the terrible flood we had. It should be a lot of fun!! If you live in Nashville you should join us...message me if your interested and I can give you more info.
^ cute idea! I hope the makeup artists are doing true face painting and not real makeup. I can't imagine being all grimy and dusty and Roo-ey and having someone try to brush concealer under my eyes ;D
But the line is cute, and I think it's a cute idea that they are coming to Bonnaroo. Thanks for the heads up!
i just wanted to share the two new dresses i bought today for roo!
forever 21--$12.50
wet seal--$10.00
i also got a really gorgeous flowy top from wet seal for $8, and a pair of earrings and a stretchy headband to cover my gnarly locks for under $7 (from for love 21)! i am getting so excited!!!!

So, fashionable girlies, what shoes do you rock at 'roo? I have never met a pair of shoes I could walk for hours in except Dansko clogs (I'm an RN, so I do that at least 3 times a week), and Danskos are WAY TOO HOT for Bonnaroo. I can't do flats; my arches are high & they'll kill me after a while. I'm really at a loss to find a shoe that will be comfy & look good with sundresses without being too hot on my feet.
In other news: those flippy cotton skirts Old Navy has this summer? AWESOME. I bought 3 of the short woven cotton ones and 3 of the long jersey-knit ones. I HATE regular shorts (I do bike shorts to keep my legs from rubbing, as I'm a plump little peach), so I live in skirts when it's hot. With tons of tanks & t-shirts, I've pretty much got my wardrobe figured out. I'm heading to Hobby Lobby this week to see about some handkerchiefs to go with all my outfits.

^^^ There's a thread called "Best shoes?" that helped me a lot. I didn't know which shoes to bring either. There's a lot of different opinions, but the general opinion seems to point to Crocs or Sanuks. I got a pair of both... I think if you break a pair of Crocs in before you go, they should form to your foot to support your arches a little more. I have high arches too, and the crocs I got are very comfortable.

Oy. Crocs are not my thing at all. Aside from finding them terribly ugly, they make my feet sweat more than they would already! Those things don't BREATHE! I have seen Sanuks mentioned; I suppose I ought to go out & try a pair on. I'm looking at all my cute Skechers, which won't work because I couldn't go all day in them, and my Dansko clogs which would be comfy but they're solid leather & hot as hell.
I'm fairly picky about shoes as well and took a loooong time picking out the perfect shoes for roo that weren't horribly ugly. I decided I wanted keens because my parents gave rave reviews on the all-day comfortability of them (my dad wears them 4 days a week, 10+ hrs a day for work). Went to a store and tried them on to figure out my size then ordered them online (for cheaper!) here's the ones I got, by far the best women's style I've found.
I've heard people go home with broken flip flops & they slide off easily, especially when dealing with big mud puddles. Personally, I'm goin with Crocs, older pair of sneakers, & mayyybe a pair of flip flops or water shoes I'm willing to throw out after.

My friend who is coming to Roo with me just bought a pair of the Keens Whispers - they are a little lighter in weight than the Venice 2 that we both currently own and she loves them.
For me, Keens are by far the most comfortable shoes I have found, they have a little more support than Crocs.

I hate the way the "original" crocs look, but there are a couple of way cute pairs with canvas. that's what i'm going with cause i want the feel of "real" shoes. they so comfy!
I'm the type of gal who doesn't do Crocs, either--I went with Tevas instead. VERY functional and they actually have some feminine-looking ones!! Here's a link:
I love love love Teva Mush flip flops. Break them in and the bottom molds to your foot. I get really hot and uncomfortable if my feet are hot (like in sneakers) so these are perfect for me. I had to retire my already well worn ones after roo last year. They also have a sandal type.
Hi ladies! So I've been out of town for forever, plus my computer crashed, so I haven't been on in forever. While I was gone, I had a fashion epiphany. I got this great strapless dress at kohls, but didn't have a strapless bra with me. So I just threw a regular tank under it and wore a regular bra with it. It was super cute. Later I did the same thing with a halter dress. So I've now decided I can layer a tank under anything no matter what the straps are doing. Check it out.

Flip flops at Roo.....works great if it's dry. If it rains, you will be cursing your flip flops.
I LIVE in flip flops during the summer, I hardly ever wear anything else and I'm totally comfortable doing a lot of walking in them. At Roo in 07 I wore flip flops the whole time and was just fine. The only issue is that if you have the cheapie kind you will wear them down, but as long as you're fine with sacrificing a couple pairs to Roo it's no big deal.
But then last year the "roads" were muddy all weekend from the storm and ooomg I don't care how much you love your flip flops and feel like you can wear them anywhere, you CANNOT wear them in the mud. Your feet will slide around like crazy, your shoes will get stuck in the mud so it's impossible to walk anywhere, and when you try to pull your foot free you will either (a) leave the flip flop behind, (b) break the flip flop, (c) fling mud ALL over yourself, as in it will literally be in your hair, or (d) all of the above.
I still haven't figured out what I'm doing for shoes and it's one of the things that's got me a bit panicky because I'm like...out of time. Last year I ended up wearing my Tevas all weekend but man I really did not want to do that. They're not cute but even worse, they HURT LIKE HELL. So uncomfortable. So I don't know what to do this year if it rains. I may end up having to suffer in Tevas anyway. Or I might buy some of those Nomadic State sandals at Roo if it rains, I've always sort of wanted some and it seems like they might be better than my Tevas.
In completely unrelated news...I'm all sunburnt. I really didn't want to get burnt BEFORE Roo! But I've still got over a week to fade it so maybe it'll work out. I'm going to have some interesting tan lines but that's not the end of the world. And at least maybe if it fades into a tan it'll help keep me from burning as much AT Roo.

^^^NICE! Im excited too. Its definitely gonna be a different kind of Roo experience for me, but I am ready! Maybe I'll meet a nice boy from Atlanta out in the crowd.

Clairity -you are the cutest! Great idea
Sorry for the double posts all day ladies, but my job is grating on my nerves, I found out last Thursday that my ex is long-distance dating a girl here in atlanta, who's a 22-yr old (he's 31 btw, and is living in Pittsburgh where he went without me bc he couldnt marry me after 4.5 years of dating) and Im mega tired. Inforoo is gonna be my mind-distracter today.

Re: shoes, I despise Crocs. However they really are the only thing that will survive the mud and fit my feet. If you can wear Tevas and similar shoes, they are a great alternative (my pinky toes must be unusually short for they always hang out the wrong side of Teva straps or get rubbed raw by said strap). I have not tried Sanuks, they aren't my style, but they do get rave reviews.
My husband swears by skate shoes and will wear Vans to death while there and leave them to the Bonnaroo Gods at the end of the event.
I do take a pair of Reef flip flops and wear them at camp and I have also worn them into Centeroo in the evening after rocking the comfy Crocs all day. If it's dry, flops can be fab.
They were SUPER comfy for me and I never had foot issues. Sam's Club has them on sale right now for less than $10. That's a STEAL deal! They're usually $20+. But, I can say they're worth the price. I've had mine for years and will be sporting them once again.
As everyone else has said, if it rains flops won't get you very far. So, to combat the mud I went for a cute pair of goulashes from Target. They've got all kinds of styles and colors.
Mine are black w/ multicolor polka dots. ;D Don't forget knee socks to keep them comfy and prevent rubbing on your legs.
Also, if you are concerned about blisters, I can't praise the Dr. Scholl's Miracle Shield Anti-Friction Stick enough. It looks like a giant chapstick -
You can find it in the foot section of any store - Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc. Rub a nice coat on your feet each morning (don't forget the bottom!) and throughout the day at the first sign of rubbing and you'll be all set. LOVE LOVE LOVE Miracle Shield.
It looks like the stick is AKA Rub Relief Stick. Either way, it's the same product and really really works.
And, the suggestion of icing down your feet each night is a great idea. That's one I'll be trying this year.
Sorry for the super long post! Hope to see you at the brunch! Yummy!
