Holy Moly I can't believe it's been 3 pages of posts since i was on this thread! I have lots of responses to make!!
Thanks Julie for the shout-out for the headbands I just made a couple more and I plan on just bringin them all to the brunch! So ladies, if you are interested, I'll be there with bells (or headbands) on!
I am SO down with having a GFT pic taken at the brunch if you ladies are interested!!!
Wearing sundresses if you're a bigger girl - I was a size 0-2 for the majority of my life until age 24. then i gained about 40 lbs after college. Im only a size 10 now, but with my current belly, I still feel the self-conciousness in everyday life. HOWEVER - Bonnaroo is NOT everyday life! So I take great pleasure in busting out those tanks i only usually wear as layering pieces, and those smocked top dresses that come up to above my mid thigh and ROCKING them at Roo! It IS a wonderful break from dressing "appropriately" for my corporate job and general life! Wear those dresses! Love it! Enjoy it! I did my Twirlaroo the other day, and I was really loving how adorable i was
"Twirlaroo" - I adore that everyone has adopted the phrase! WooT!
Makeup - I also rock zero makeup at Roo (exception is Burt's Bees Balm). It's a nice break. But I think this year I may bust out some mascera.
Im pumped. Im half packed and final list is on my coffee table. Let's get ready to ROCK! Oww!!!

I have to say - as another plus size girl - if you see me looking at you - it is normally because I am wishing I had the confidence to just not care and wear what I want - so this year - I am just not caring and wearing what I want to wear - I found a really cute dress and a really cute smocked top
I just need to find a few more tank tops to go with my skirts.
Oh yeah - I bought men's compression shorts for under my skirts at Academy Sports because they carry big men's sizes but no big women's sizes and they were cheaper anyway

Pepper: You said you bought a cell charger right? You mean the battery operated one? where did you buy it? I need to purchase one today. Thanks
I got mine at Target, it was in the electronics department where they have all the cell phone accessories. The brand is "Just Wireless" and it has a list on the back of the phones it works with - Samsung and LG models. They had another one there that worked with a lot of other models, so hopefully you'll be able to find one that works with your phone. It has three different little plugs and it runs off of an AA battery, and it's really tiny - not counting the cables it's like the size of a lipstick, and each of the cables is only like 5 or 6 inches long. It cost me $15 and it comes with one AA battery. Definitely a good investment, I'd say!
If anyone is worried about feeling self conscious about their arms in a strappy dress, bring a long/wide scarf for your shoulders - they look really cute and protect your shoulders from the sun too!
If the scarf is long enough you can wrap it behind your neck and then under your arms and tie it in the back, making a mock circle scarf or you could just buy a circle scarf!

I stopped at Walmart today and got one of those uber-cute $10 dresses. The quality is actually really nice, and the dress fits very nicely. Very flattering for curvy girls and comfortable! So if anyone was on the fence about needing a few more dresses, the Wally World ones are pretty & affordable!
I also got a few bandanas, so I may rock them. Oh, and I picked up the monistat anti-chaffe cream too! It's got a really neat texture; it goes from the lotion to a powdery soft, so I think it'll be work nicely for roo.
I wish I had a hoop for my nose. I would like to rock it at Roo, but I'll just stick with my stud I suppose.
It's drawing closer.. I can't wait to meet everyone!!
Whew! (wipes forehead) all my sewing is finished! --Found-in-the-back-of-my-closet prairie skirt - zipper fixed! --canopy shade sheets reinforced at the corners with some wicked stitchin' --smocked top tube top complete with straps (thanks Clairity for the suggestion!) --smocked top tube dress from wally world complete with straps --and Finally - I turned a kind of oddly shaped, size SMALL (im a 10) smocked top dress from Charlotte russe into the cutest thing ever. This is a crowning glory... i wish i had taken a pre-chop photo... i basically turned it backwards so the smock was over the boobs, cut off the weird cup-like front boob things, cut off a foot of dowdy-ness from the bottom, and used the scraps to make tie-backs to secure the newly covered-by-the-back-of-the-dress-boobs. Seriously, i want to brag on this one. Twirlaroo 2 in progress! WOOOO BonnaROOOO!

I finished my tutu! I'm too lazy to take pics right now, I may take some tomorrow if I have time or maybe it'll just be a surprise at Roo. But I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
I did a bit of a Twirlaroo with some of my dresses today - I did a definite twirlaroo with my tutu, but I also tried on my Walmart dresses again. I got one pink sundress that I really love, the shape is really flattering. And I got one of those smocked-top strapless dresses with the pockets which is also awesome.

I am a plus size girl and I buy flowy dresses at Target. It's soo great to wear something flowy that doesn't stick to you during the sweaty days, Target works for me.
I've got two tutus packed, so if you ladies need an extra let me know
I might need to borrow one, lol. I'm headed to Ulta Salon after work tonight to cut about 6 inches off my hair and if I remember, I may swing by Hot Topic to pick up a tutu, but if not I'll try to borrow one of yours :-)
Man, I haven't even packed yet *but* I did make a list of clothes the other day at work so I know what I'm taking, I just have to gather it up.

I cannot find anything but crap at our Walmarts or Targets - it just sucks
I found a couple of cute tops at the Target here that happened to go really well with some of my skirts, but no luck on the dresses.
Also, anybody have any tips on shaving your legs when you have a ton of mosquito bites? Put up some reed privacy fence a couple of days ago, and apparently my right leg is mighty tasty.

My Target also sucks. I buy everything online and then return to the store.
I can never find anything @ my Target Meg. Wal-Mart sometimes but their stuff never fits me right.
All my dresses came from Kohl's, TJ Maxx and Ross. I have four maxi dresses that I'll mostly be wearing. I packed some back up dresses and my kariza just in case I get soaked and want to put on something dry. I also packed several hoodies of varying thickness, a pair of track pants, tons of undies, gym shorts, and I'll throw in a few t-shirts and a pair of jeans tonight.
I'm bringing my go-to Old Navy flip flops that are about to fall apart, my doc Martin flip flops that are way too heavy, my too big crocs, and my rainboots. If my trusty Old avy flips bite the dust I am a little bit screwed. They have a croc store in Centeroo though, right? so maybe I can just get some there if that happens.
on a side note, I have been growing my bangs out since I knew I was going to Roo so I can pin them up outta my face. My little bro is a hairdresser and last time I saw him he was like, "Jen what's up with your bangs, you need to let me trim them". Response: "NOOOOO!" there's nothing worse than wet & sweaty bangs sticking to your forehead.
This post is just getting longer and longer I am sooooo trying to make this day go by faster. I need to get off work & get out of class so I can go home and finish getting stuff together. OK, Earlier I said I was calm, but the agony of waiting and not being on the road or at least at home doing something is beginning to set in!!!
I have 4 skirts and tank tops, 1 dress, a pair of shorts/top, a pair of capris, gym pants, flip flops, crocs, river sandals and my tennis shoes (in case my ankle goes flaky), undies/bras, shorts for under skirts, bandanas for my head

I've got bangs this year and I'm really dreading dealing with them at Roo! Mine are pretty long, though - they're the side-swept sort so if I comb them straight down in front of my face even the shortest pieces come down to my nose. But I don't really like the way I look without them, so I don't know about pinning them back.
