Yay!!! Glad it arrived in time! I just sent one out to RooBear, hope she gets it too! And then I'll have more at the Brunch!
Can't WAIT to see you all!!! <3 Mayo
I would love to have a pin! I know it's too late for shipping one now but I'll def. try to find you at the brunch to get one. Can you post a pic? How much would or what would I owe you??
So, fashionable girlies, what shoes do you rock at 'roo? I have never met a pair of shoes I could walk for hours in except Dansko clogs (I'm an RN, so I do that at least 3 times a week), and Danskos are WAY TOO HOT for Bonnaroo. I can't do flats; my arches are high & they'll kill me after a while. I'm really at a loss to find a shoe that will be comfy & look good with sundresses without being too hot on my feet.
I went to Johnson City TN for the Memorial Day weekend, and I found $8 dollar bike shorts at the Walmart there. I had been looking and looking and was determined to find some under $10.
I also found some great rain boots "Sloggers" at Target for the muddy days... They were in the garden section. They are kind of plain... a periwinkle color that is neutral enough to go with almost anything, and my fiance who doesn't usually like rainboots actually liked these. I put in some new padding in the bottom and some blister preventing cushions on the heels (not sure I needed either, but I am all about the comfort), so I think they will be perfect to walk in for hours. The boots themselves only cost $16- the best deal I found so far. They cost more online, but have more colors...
I also found two ultra thin wrap cardigans in the yoga section of Ross for super cheap... one white and one black. I am a ginger, so I burn so easily that I think I may have to cover up during the day. I am also packing a scarf or two as some others suggested to cover my shoulders.
I am getting soooooooo excited!
Oh yes, and I will be wearing my recycled record bracelets and earrings that I learned how to make. I will have to post a photo. I am actually selling them in the local record store.
Hats are always a good idea, not just to keep the sun off your face/neck but also so you don't have to rub sunscreen on your scalp. As I type this my head is itching and burning from not wearing a hat out in the sun a few days ago. If you don't wanna go with a hat, bandannas or scarves are another good option.

I would just like to point out that today I went to Bonton, Target, and Walmart and didn't buy ANY new dresses. I am proud of myself, considering I totally do not need to spend money on more dresses. Got some bandannas though! And FOOTLESS TIGHTS yay! In bright colors! Woooo.

I prepped today, too. Sunscreen, some socks, bandanas in 7 different colors. Still shoe hunting, though. I know it's late in the game; if I don't find anything I'll be wearing my Merrells.

OK here's a girly question that just occured to me. For you ladies that choose not to pay for a shower, where do you shave your legs and armpits? I'm brunette and I know after 3 or 4 days, I have some stubble goin on. Or do you just say Eff it and not care? Just curious, I was trying to think of a way this could be done, without bringing shave gel and a razor to the water troughs. Maybe in my tent with a bucket of water?
i dont grow too much in that time however one time i put a bottle of water on the car during the day. when i got back to the tent i had warm water to shave. i really wouldnt worry about it if you dont get a chance.

haha. thank you! i was debating whether to ask this or not in here, and now you beat me to the chase!
i'm thinking water + razor is enough. im not forcin myself to pay for a shower to make sure i shave. ive got long leggings i can wear for when my legs look stubbly, and wear the shorter stuff earlier on in the weekend.
I, too, had been worried about not being able to shave (I can't remember if I shaved or not last year)... especially if I decided to wear a swimsuit around sometime. Well, I decided giving myself an at-home bikini wax was my best (cheapest) option even though I've never had anything waxed before in my life. I won't go into to details but let me just warn against this idea! If you are really that worried about it GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!

I'm not gonna worry about it. One of the benefits of being redheaded is that the hair on my legs & under my arms is extremely pale blonde. I can go barelegged without shaving for weeks & you'd probably never notice it.
I washed my hair last night & did a "test drive" with letting it dry naturally, since it's what I'll have to do. Evidently when I wash it, brush it, put on a head bandana, and then kind of arrange it, it dries in these perfect under-turned curls. I did not know that. I'm pretty happy about it, too, since leaving my hair wet will be cooler on hot days and it'll still turn out to look cute under bandanas.

He's probably right. After an online conversation about shaving, I once looked up & brought my husband into it.
Me: Hey, has it ever bothered you if I had stubble on my legs while we were getting it on? Him: *pausing, thinking very hard* ...Have you ever had stubble? Me: Well, guess that answers THAT question.
