got the chub rub for the first time ever at Summer Camp this past weekend. Turns out Gold Bond sucks when it's hot out. I have officially ordered some body glide. Thanks for the advice ladies!

As a general concensus, does everyone favor the body glide over moisture wicking shorts? Also, does anyone have the moisture wicking shorts? If so, where did you get them?
Being on the plus-size end of the spectrum, I can never find bike shorts that fit me well enough without giving me a visible almost "muffin top" situation under my dresses. I've been using the monistat chafing relief powder for awhile now and I definitely prefer it to shorts.
Oh that is cuuuuuuuute! Nice find, prettypinkstars!
I'm rescinding my previous endorsement of the Teva Mush flip-flop in favor of the Teva Mandalyn wedge flip-flop. The foam is a little denser than the Mush, so it's more supportive, and they're only about 1 3/4" tall...so, it's a little boost, but not too much, so they're still comfy.

I've gotten it at Target and Walmart before. It's over by the yeast infection stuff. It works really well, too, but last year it exploded in my purse at Rothbury. Not fun. Figured I try to bodyglide this year to compare.
^^I've never used Crocs before but I have the Tevas pictured and they really are comfortable. I have them in green and love them. I didn't know how they'd hold up in wet weather though so I recently bought the Teva Kayenta sandals. They have a back strap and are more secured on your foot than the other Tevas mentioned. Either way, I'm bringing both and will where them according to the weather! I love Tevas and think they are a less expensive option to Chaco's but just as comfortable and durable! Hope this helps!
Sorry to double post, but I just noticed the Body glide stuff and was wondering is there anywhere to pick it up in a store, or do you have to order it off the Internet?

I pretty much am a camando girl at all times. The shorts are just to restricting for me.

I've found the Monistat stuff at Walgreens too - I'd think most drugstores would have it. Over by the lady products, as Claire said
You can get Body Glide at running stores; they also have a store finder on their site:

Hey linz! I just checked www.bodyglide.com/#/where_to_buy and put in the zip....I see you are in the Boro, same as me -- the website says we can pick it up at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Avenue. I know the Dick's website doesn't list it for sale but when I get my car back from the shop (hopefully sometimes this afternoon!!), I'll run by there and see if it's there and the cost.
Thanks Avacadolady! There is an REI on my way home from work that has the bodyglide. Im buyin' it today!!!
On another note - Daniroo mentioned meetin' all the ladies! Anyone plan on doing the Inforoo Brunch? I imagine that may be the best place to attempt any meetings. I hadn't planned on going (my whole plan at Roo is to NOT have a plan), but im in if anyone want's to hang out!

Have you tried Junonia? I have two pairs of wicking bike shorts from them and am a big fan. The beige ones are extra stretchy so I can pull them up almost to my bra (I'm also short-waisted). The black ones I can pull up in the front - they don't go up as much in the back, but also don't creep down so I'm okay with it.

Hey girls......sorry I've completely disappeared lately! I think my lack of 'roo plans is making it really hard for me to come 'round here and see everyone else getting ready - if I end up not going then it's depressing watching everyone else getting all excited, but if I DO decide to go then OH HOLY WOW I HAVE A LOT TO DO.
And on that note....yeah, I still have NO CLUE what I'm doing. A friend of mine was vaguely saying he'd like to go, but I was stuck in the maybe phase with this guy last year pretty much right up until the last minute....I basically had offers of free tickets thanks to the lovely people on here, and even that didn't convince him to go. Which basically means NOTHING would have gotten him there, so I don't know why he kept stringing me along! And anyway, I'm therefore not optimistic about him deciding to go this year. And he's got a girlfriend...I have no idea if she would want to go or be able to go, I don't know if he would want to go alone with me if she didn't go, etc.
I haven't completely forsaken the idea of going on my own but ughh I don't know. My own stupidity is ruining it basically - what I *should* have done was start making plans with some of you people like a month or two ago and start getting to know somebody better so I wouldn't feel like I was flying to meet up with someone I don't know at all. And since I didn't do that, I'm wary of going on my own. And I'm not gonna lie, I'm not in love with the lineup. I'm in AWE of it because it's quite impressive, but for my personal tastes it's not all THAT exciting.
Soooo I'm rambling and this post has nothing to do with fashion but I'm hoping you girls will forgive me for that. I mostly just wanted to pop in and say hi, but it turned into a bit of a rant! Haha.
Hey Plastic!! I was wondering where you were! I went away for a while too when I thought I wasn't going. I was doing a lot of pouting!
It is totally not too late to make plans....especially with camp inforoo tent only. You know you will have tons of people to hang with. I'll be in access with meg & them or I'd invite you to camp with me. I think if I wasn't married I would really love going alone just for the randomness of it.
Sorry for thread hijack...I'll post something girly and fashionable now to make up for it:
Um....I have four dresses for four days plus my Kariza. I decided to go with the tank top under all the ones that have the smocking. That shiz just irritates the crap outta my skin and I can only imagine what kind of raw rash I'd get in the heat. So the tank may be a boit more hot since it is extra fabric but I think it'll be better in the long run. I am bringing several hoodies and a ton of raingear cause I gotta feeling it is oging ot be wet.

Awww, I love that you even noticed that I wasn't here!
If I do go on my own, I'd rather make plans to meet up and camp with someone specific rather than just heading to Camp Inforoo. I'm a bit younger than a lot of the Camp Inforoo crowd, and besides I'd just be way too nervous/etc about not having a specific plan.
Oh, and I realized I do have something fashion-related I can share - the dress I wore for graduation! I love it...just wish I had somewhere else I could wear it now!
Ignore the really stupid look on my face....and the stupid hairdo....uh, and the horse poster on the wall behind me, lol.
^There's a lot of younger people that are planning to do camp inforoo, the person I'm traveling with and myself are both 23, and i know a lot of early 20somethings will be there. Don't count it out just yet, the security of everyone being near you is good thing
Pepper, you should come! You are NEVER alone at Roo; even if you're introverted, the vibe at Roo almost forces you to make new friends. If you have the means to go, I say just DO IT!! This is the only life you have; you don't want to look back regretting not going to something as awesome as Bonnaroo.
I think I offered last year too, but you are TOTALLY welcome to camp with my group! There are 4 girls and one gay fella, and we're all in our mid-20s except one, she is only 18--yikes! We'll be bringing anything you'd need camping-wise, you'd just need to bring your clothes and a sleeping bag. And I'm in Nashville, so we could pick you up from the airport and you could stay with us before/after Roo if you needed to. We're (relatively) normal people and probably a bit shy, if anything. We're not heavy partiers at all, so you don't have to worry about that either. Oh, and if you need references, HandGunHips, Superbek, and TheDruid have met me in person so they can vouch that I'm normal
Hey Pepper! You should go. it's ROO!!! And like the other ladies said - you're Never Alone at Roo! If you have the means, just go! The other Roo'ers will absolutely take care of you!
