This is my first Bonnaroo, and we are going to do the tent-only area, but we have a problem. I have a huge cooler, but it doesn't have any wheels. Has anyone dealt with this and figured out a way to get it to the tent-only area when full of water, beer, etc...?
I thought about finding some wheels to put under it (skateboard, etc...), but I figure the terrain won't allow for that.
hmmm...ok.....maybe i should have clarified....any feasible ideas?
I'm guessing that a cooler with no wheels and tent-only are just a bad combination...it is just a shame, because a have a kick-a$$ cooler that I can't use.
thanks for making me laugh at least by saying...you could do this....but it wouldn't make sense to do so....maybe i should charter a helicopter for a drop-ship instead!
So yeah...any ideas that wouldn't be more expensive than just buying a cooler with wheels?
You could always buy a cheapie childrens snow sled -- it's probably nice and slim and would help the dragging go a little smoother. Also, you aren't gouging and staining up your cooler this way.
immediately after unloading it from the car, drink half the beer and eat all the heavy foods (such as kielbasa) to lighten the load....then drag it to the tent only area
p.s. if you follow this advice, please take pictures and post them on here after roo

A wagon just takes up too much space...but that would be ideal.
I like the idea of drinking the beer and eating the food first off...but it is a long weekend, and i am one who really needs to make a conscious effort to pace myself.

I have seen multiple Yaks out there before. It was only after the sun has gone down though. I guess that is when they come out. You have to be quiet though or you might spook them.
If there are multiple people in your crew why can't two or three of you carry it?
You must be stronger than I am...don't get me wrong...we can do that...but a huge cooler full of drinks and ice is going to be heavy as hell. Hauling that a mile (or however far it is from tent only to the car) is not the best way to start a long weekend.
Having said that, we may just suck it up and do that. Am I overestimating how far the haul will be from car to tent?
Well I defintiely don't consider myself very strong, but that said if there are 4 of you, two guys carry for a distance then two rotate in and so forth. I mean if it is worth it to get the cooler out there, that might be your best bet.
