I'm not familiar with the area at all, but if you cannot find somewhere in Chattanooga that you are comfortable leaving your car at, I would suggest going to the airport there and dropping your car off in the long-term parking. I imagine that in a smallish size town like Chattanooga that it wouldn't be too expensive (as compared to airports in other areas).

thanks, i thought about parking at the airport-but dont like the possibility of having to sit and watch my shit get searched twice in the same day. a hotel sounds like a good idea-anybody else ever done this.
I made a practice of leaving my vehicle at a hotel for days at a time while handling a long term relationship. It was free, but I know they had a practice of towing vehicles that were around too long and hadn't registered with the hotel. Not all hotels do this, so a heads up mentality is probably the one to have. My method was having a Courtyard Marriott (the hotel I often stayed at when she was in town and parked at when I would fly) laundry bag stuffed with a blanket on my passenger seat and an old room key displayed on the dashboard, or seat. This probably isn't doable for you, so just find one with a big, busy, parking lot.

Last I checked, they don't search the cars at the airport parking lots... just the people inside the actual terminals getting on airplanes.

Unless, of course, you make it a habit to ASK them to search your nuts. Then im sure they will be all for it.
