i would definitely suggest any kind of boot for the night time if it rains. i wore sneakers in 04 and the mud came up so high on my ankles, that the sneakers were sticking. so i took them off and five seconds later i stubbed my toe (and sliced off some skin) on a sharp wooden stick coming out of the ground. no bandaid was strong enough to withstand the wetness and i ended up with mud caked on my wound the whole weekend. i thought for sure that my toe was going to get infected and fall off. but thankfully, there must be some curative antiseptic properties in the farm's mud because i'm still with all five toes!
For those without Excel, here's the list from Bringaroo:

I tend to travel light, myself.. I always set aside 50 dollars for food and drink (of the non-alcoholic type) every festival I go to, and usually only buy food about once a day because the rest of the time generous nieghbors are giving me food without me even asking.. I must look like I'm starving all the time or something.
the big factor for me is comfort. as long as my feet stay dry and warm during the nighttime, I'm happy.
We just got back from shopping for camping/Roo stuff. We ended up purchasing the green-and-white structured shade tent that Tara was talking about earlier in this thread. Although we already have a very nice shade tent (a Playhut), this will be a nice addition to the compound (we'll be in VIP so hopefully our space will be larger than general admission was last year). We found it at Academy for $18.49.
We also found some nice backpacks. They aren't any different than the $70 ones, but we grabbed these for $8.99 at Academy also. The brand is Austin.
We also got bungees, a self-inflating matress ($18 at Academy) and a canoe seat to take into Centroo for sitting in between concerts ($30 at some sporting goods place I always forget the name of).
We still have tarps, tent stakes and tent cord to buy, but we'll probably pick those up at a Dollar General or Dollar Tree. Oh, we also want to get a couple of cheap TV trays, too.
It was suggested on another thread to be sure to include some type of small back pack or fanny pack and I did not see that on your list. Also, someone commented that they lived in cargo shorts because of all the pockets. You can also find two other lists to use and compare at www.eclecticpixel.com/bonnaroo/ They download as Excel spreadsheets.
I was planning on using the Camelbaks as my small back pack. Is there anyway somebody can get those lists posted on here because I have a Mac and I don't have Excel.
Are camelbaks formally allowed at Bonnaroo? I thought I saw someone post something to the contrary.
Beefullo - they are allowed into centeroo. The "official" rule is that they are supposed to be empty and when you get inside you can fill them up with the sealed water bottles you brought in, or you can fill it up with the free water they have inside. I've heard rumors of people having to empty their camelbak, but I've never seen it actually happen. Last year I always walked right in with my camelbak bladder completely full (with water or alcohol) and no one said anything so don't worry about it

Just won a nice 14x14 shade tent on ebay, nice and compact, only weighs 10 pounds comes with a carrying case...
Also got a SWEET digital camera on ebay, the Olympus Stylus 600... Its water resistant and can even be taken underwater if you buy the housing for it, but its designed to snap pics in a rainstorm and even get kicked around in the dust... Super compact and light, 6 megapixel, hold thousands of pics and takes quicktime video with no sound... Im PSYCHED about this thing... Im gunna be putting alot of pics on the net from the fests im hitting up this year...

Wow I just added up JUST your camping gear, and you are already up to $900 worth of gear alone. I guess the word "minimalist" is one dimensional in your case.
I like your style though. I'd love to go to a concert by myself and meet tons of random people, I just don't think I have the huevos to.

I spent a little under $700 on everything on that list, got it over the course of one and a half years or so... Definately a splurge based on my measly income but the BEST investment i've ever made... Its my home for about 3-4 weeks every summer... Plus i really put my mind to putting together a top notch ultralight setup, you could have all your gear for several hundred less if you wanted to... Sorry to blab about my crap, im into it so its worth it.... Peace...
Aside from the gear I'd strongly recommend from past multi day camping experiences Emergen-C powder (available at GNC) along with a timed release Vit. B Complex. I think The Lawyer had similar advice and I echo his wisdom here.

hey lucid...i got this camera last month and it rocks!! super easy to use and takes great pics!!
If anyone is particularly susceptible to fungal infections (I'm thinking on the feet, but wherever), bring along some anti-fungal powder and use it prophylactically. Warm, damp and dirty = excellent breeding grounds for fungus.
