Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
when i was a kid, i'd always get so excited about going on a trip that i'd start packing a suitcase three days in advance, just to maximize the fun of anticipation.
with less than fifty days left, what are you doing to get ready?
i've got a running list going. every time we think of something we'll need to buy or do, we add it. just for fun (as i type this, i realize how lame my idea of fun must sound) we'll re-copy it every few days with to categorize and classify the newly added items.
we're going shopping this weekend. hopefully to get some of the more expensive requirements out of the way now so that we don't take a huge financial hit the week before and end up with no money to spend there on fun stuff.
i haven't started yet, but i think i might make some clothes to wear there. just some super lightweight linen stuff with plenty of extra pockets. i don't really have anything that'd be appropriate (ie. not hotter than two devils stuck in the buck), so i might as well make something to my exact specifications.
i'm working out. i figure it's gonna be hot there, and there'll be times (esp. when i'm less than sober) when i'll want to wear as little as possible, so i'm gonna want to look hot. my boyfriend and i are doing this together, and with a target date in mind, it's pretty easy to motivate.
is the anticipation killing you? what are you up to?

My boyfriend already bought all of our camping stuff. I bought crocs and a few skirts to wear. I've been working out too. Not so much to look hot (okay, I guess a little heh, who doesn't want to look hot?), but more to build up my endurance. I don't want to get worn out quickly while I'm there. I have a list of food and random things I want to bring too.
Yes, the anticipation is killing me. I can barely deal with it. Heh.

Im a first timer... and i just know its gunna be some of the best fun ive had. Probably good to spread out the shopping and planning and stuff... just to relieve some of the anxiousness.

I always plan my whole summer months in advance and try to get everything i need bought and all the cash i need saved before june even gets here... Its gunna be a crazy june/july for me and i dont want to have to be stressing about money during all the madness so i try to get everything worked out a few weeks in advance...
I don't have that far to go, so my planning is not that extensive. The last two years we brought WAY too much food. Especially if you get stuck way out in BFE you will most likely buy food closer to Centeroo cause of the long walk. Anyway, I'm ready to GO!

I'm w/ you Becca - due to work, I don't have a lot of time off to get ready. But all my permanent stuff (tent, etc.) is all packaged and together, right where I left it when I got back last year. Just need to air it out, rinse out my solar shower, etc.
I'm probably going to have to do the grocery shopping part Tues. night, after I drive home from work, and before we leave on Wed. morning to go to Chattanooga. I've got a couple Wal-Mart buys to make (new mattress, shoes, etc.), and I'll make the liquor/beer run probably the weekend before.
Seems like the closer I get, the farther away it becomes. 60 days seemed like nothing - now 49 days seems like an eternity.

to get ready i just pop in tons of bonnaroo music and i get myself pumped. i just bought a new tent cuz my good two man tent can't fit the 9 or so people who i'm going wiht
I always set my tent up in the yard to air out for a day or two, assuming it's not supposed to rain. I also like to do this to make sure I know exactly how to put it together and I have all the parts. When I get to 'roo I like to have my camping area set up as fast as possible and then put some tunes on and crack open a cold beer. I don't want to be staring at tent directions in the hot sun or looking for parts.
Right now, I've just been trying to dl some albums from artists that I haven't heard yet, or heard very little of..... Elvis Costello-The Delivery Man Dresden Dolls-Yes, Virginia Nickel Creek - Why Should The Fire Die.... with more on the way. It's quite overwhelming, in a great way

Im going to be using the tent my bro used last year. The other one has a bunch of burn holes in it, last year i slept int he puddle in my tent. So I was totally stoked about this nice tent untill about 2 day ago he tells me that he puked in the tent last year at bonnaroo and never cleaned it. So this tent has been maranaiting in this puke for about a year. SO the next ill be doing to prep for roo is cleaning this tent with all the chemicals i can find, then airing it out for about a week.
I just ordered a plastic all-weather case for my digital camera so I can bring it this year and keep it safe even in rain and mud. Last year I only took a couple pictures with a throw away camera so I'm excited to document the madness this year
i just ordered a new shower/poop tent, and i bought sunscreen yesterday!!! maybe in the next week or 2 i'll set up my tent to make sure everything is still working ok :-) i can't wait......i want it to be june now!!!!!!!!!
Well, I've been drinking a lot lately...I'm all about the "Buffalo Theory" when it comes to drinking.
buffalo theory? do tell
I believe it's along the lines of a Guinness sign I saw in Boston once : "Drinking kills thousands of brain cells at at time (but only the weak ones!)"
I've been slackin hard...workin my ass off to make enough money for all that i want/need, and equally working on my feet as much as possible + walking everywhere i can to get some muscle back in my poor little decrepid leg! i can finally work 16hr shifts on my feet, and mastered balancing enough without crutches to restrain clients that are on a rampage to attack me, themselves or other clients...it is a lot more intense than it used to be pre-broken days, but at least i know now that i can stagger on uneven ground under that harshest extremes...i cant imagine anything i will take at bonnaroo making me half as unsteady!
Purchased a new day pack for the fest today. Also working on a home made shade tent that is large, self supporting and captures the breeze. We want to put this over our two tents in the car area. Stuffing spare bills in a spare wallet to fund purchases at roo and counting the days down.
We ordered a new shower tent today and were getting our flag & pole set up so it's all good to go. We've been trying to pick up something every week that way we wont feel overwhelmed when it gets really close to roo. Bring on June!!! ;D ;D
