Alright, so I finally talked my girlfriend into trying the whole camping thing. We've got a couple friends staying at a hotel not far away just in case she doesn't dig it... My question is, if we daypark (so that we can leave whenever we want, in case she doesn't dig camping) and set up camp in the Camping Only area, will that cause any problems? In other words, will my car get towed or something if we end up camping the whole time and leave the car in the dayparking area for those four days?
This begs a second type of question. If a car is driving in and in line and two of the occupants want to walk forward with a large tent & tickets headed to the tent only area on foot, is there a problem with them getting in with out a car? Our thought is to come early on Thursday and be happy in line. But we want to set up a tent in the Tent Only area, can we send people ahead? We will park the car where ever and be rooster until Monday.....

Yeah, so one person (in the car) stays in line and parks, while the others go ahead and pick/set up a good tenting spot? I don't see why not, I mean, as long as you've got a ticket, I'm pretty sure they won't care... I hope not anyway, because that's what we plan on doing.
And if we stay in the tent only areas, how far will our cars be parked?
Yea i was wondering this too, where do they put you if your planning on staying the the tent only area? Do you just go through the regular checkpoints then tell the person directing that your staying in the tent only area or what?

Alright, so. From my understanding, there is absolutely no problem with dayparking and then going to the tent only area besides not being able to come in on Thursday. Right?

If theres a decent chance you might want to leave sometime throughout the weekend i would use the day parking... You shouldnt get towed, and of course you can walk in on foot no prob...
