I have been trying to figure this out for a few years now, and I'm hoping someone with some knowledge can help me out.
Is the VIP package worth it? I have camped , stayed @ hotels, etc...I've been doing this for over 20 yrs now. So, since I'm getting older my wife and I want to be able to get through the crowds and just really relax, I don't see a big difference between the ticket prices all things said. She is into the idea of toilets and showers I could care less, but I am into comfort now, if it's available. I got some stufed jacked by wooks last year and was hoping the $$$ would keep the VIP camp safer. Plus if it is a good deal, I would be more inclined to bring our kids in a few years if it work out. Another question is a RV worth it? We are looking at buying a new one. But, I'm not sure I want to trek to a fest that size in one. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, from my understanding there are no "bathrooms" in the VIP area, just porta-potties. I think I have that in a email at home..I will look. Do you think the new camper you are buying is to big for the VIP area?
If the $$ is not a huge deal to you, IMO the VIP is well worth the price. Much more room at the campsite, easier access to the music (you don't have to pass thru security), MUCH shorter walk, if any. It's generally alot more laid-back with an older crowd in VIP. The bathrooms are the air-conditioned trailer deals they have at special events...portable bathrooms to be sure, but much nicer than porta-potties. Showers are decent. All in all some little things that add up to alot. I'll bet most people that stay in VIP once don't go back to the general campground.
