The only problem would be what area do you want to cool? I can assure you it won't cool down a tent for any length of time with any effectiveness.

It also uses Ice which might be a bad thing, it's hard to keep Ice even to cool your beverages at Bonnaroo.

I've thought about one of those but eventually decided it might be futile. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has used that though!!

Blocks of ice in a cooler might last awhile, i assume its just a fan unit that sits on top of the cooler... Tents are made to be ventilated even though they're waterproof and in the hot afternoon sun i dont know if a tent would hold cold air for that long but im sure having that setup in a tent would cool it off for sure i just dont know how long the blocks would last. I'd try it and fill the cooler with blocks and only open it and turn on the fans when you go to sleep in the tent, dont use it as shelter from the heat during the day, use it to sleep with and conserve the ice for as long as you can. Hell i'd try it just as an experiment if i was taking a car...
