Yesterday I saw Ibibio Sound Machine, David August, Gold Panda, Hot Chip, Chemical Brothers and parts of spiritualized and Danny Brown. It was a good day.
Was that your first time with David August? Was very thankful for you getting me into him in prep for iii points. Curious to know how you liked him live.

first time seeing him. I rly enjoyed it. He’s kinda got a Nicolas Jaar-lite thing going on but is unique enough that he’s still very good
On another note, saw Eric Prydz do his HOLO show the other night which was pretttttty insane production wise.
Chromatics is number one so far. But I have a lottt coming up
I think with the two nights of Phish at Bonnaroo and then The Rolling Stones coming up, there's a shot to threaten my top to this point. It's very, very jam heavy for me. Last year ended up as a hard rock and rock year. We'll see how this one goes.

With potentially only a couple sets still to come I present my top ten:
10 - Chris Lake @ Republic Nola 9 - Lizzo @ Fillmore Nola 8 - Wu-Tang @ The Ryman 7 - Cherry Glazerr @ Exit/In 6 - Childish Gambino @ Roo 5 - The Comet Is Coming @ Roo 4 - The National @ Roo 3 - Tyler, The Creator @ III Points 2 - Rae & Ghost @ III Points 1 - Chromatics & Desire* @ Republic Nola HM to DJ Koze @ III Points (likely would have been top ten if not for technical issues)
I officially have tickets to both Gesaffelstein, and The Racontuers but I’m thinking about selling them both to hit up Intersect, which would probably shake up this list.
*Number one show if you count both acts. I think it’s fair since Johnny Jewel produces both

1. Raconteurs at The Pageant 2. Four Tet at Coachella 3. John Mayer at Enterprise Center 4. Tame Impala at Lollapalooza 5. Rosalía at Coachella 6. Kids See Ghosts at Coachella

Here's my top 20 (also including favorite song/moment from each):
1. Bon Iver (Columbus, OH; Marion) 2. FKA Twigs (Chicago, IL; Cellophane) 3. Tool (Indianapolis, IN; Pneuma) 4. Lonely Island (Bonnaroo; Ras Trent) 5. Robyn (Pitchfork; Love is Free) 6. Brandi Carlile (Bonnaroo; The Mother) 7. Phish (Bonnaroo; 2001) 8. Vampire Weekend (Indianapolis, IN; Diane Young) 9. Weird Al (Indianapolis, IN; Amish Paradise) 10. Childish Gambino (Bonnaroo; Boogieman) 11. Mitski (Indianapolis, IN; Two Slow Dancers) 12. Solange (Bonnaroo; FUBU) 13. Charli XCX (Pitchfork; Vroom Vroom) 14. Thundercat (Indianapolis, IN; Tron Somg) 15. John Prine (Bonnaroo; Hello in There) 16. The Comet is Coming (Bonnaroo; Super Zodiac) 17. Carly Rae Jepsen (Indianapolis, IN; Feels Right) 18. Unknown Mortal Orchestra (Bonnaroo; Can't Keep Checking My Phone) 19. Monsieur Periné (Bonnaroo; La Muerte) 20. Little Simz (Bonnaroo; Venom)
Fun facts: Exactly half of these were at Bonnaroo and my top 3 shows were the same artists as my top three albums of the year. Also, stinky was at half of these shows too!
While Diane Young I my favorite song and a highlight, my favorite part of VW was seeing Cousins with my cousin, which it was nice to finally get to see something with him that he was genuinely interested in, rather than something his parents were into
This was a very light year of music for me, but the best show I saw all year was def being on the rail for Glass Animals at a 600 person venue. Shit was wild. Hayden James was really great too.
light music year for me as well. vast majority of my shows where concentrated around movement or at bonnaroo.
1. Richie Hawtin - Movement - Detroit, MI 2. Carl Craig a2a Seth Troxler a2a Mirko Loko - Magic Stick - Detroit, MI 3. The Lonely Island - Bonnaroo 4. Phish - Bonnaroo - Sunday 5. Tale of Us - Movement - Detroit, MI 6. Lauren Flax - TV Lounge - Detroit, MI 7. Eris Drew - TV Lounge - Detroit, MI 8. The National - Bonnaroo 9. John Prine - Bonnaroo 10. Parquet Courts - Bonnaroo
not music but Theo Von would be in the top five if I included comedians. Also got to see Tom Segura which was awesome.
