I'm liking Friendly Fires, Weyes Blood and Orville Peck.
Any recommendations on R&B acts that are particularly strong live? Like how H.E.R. is low key on record, but really kills it with the full band, guitar playing, etc. live.

I saw Skegss last month in NYC with a friend and they were great, definitely liked them better live than on their records.
So far I've been really into beabadoobie and Beach Bunny. Also, to whoever posted that video of Big Wild doing 6's to 9's to talk about his live show, thank you, because I'm completely obsessed with that song now

I've posted that somewhere between here, Set Time Predictions and Reddit.
I've seen Big Wild a few times. He performed before my set at a showcase at SXSW in 2015. Was just him, a synth, a cajón, and him singing and whistling, was one of the best sets I saw at SXSW year. Got to chat with him after his set and was a really chill guy, but he had another showcase right after he had to get to, so didn't get to talk to extensively unfortunately.
Saw him at the Do Lab a few years back, more of a DJ set it seemed, though I didn't stick around long enough to find out if he was using live elements again. It was pretty boring, much more so than in Austin. Mostly played standard shitty bass music from around that time.
The 3rd and most recent time was performing in July the same day as Big Wild at Northern Nights Festival. This time was with the full band, exactly like the video of him playing 6's to 9's opening for Odesza. From a sonic perspective it was easily the best performance I've seen from him yet, and the whole band is really quite solid. Would like a LITTLE bit more stage presence from the band, but they put on a great set. If you enjoy 6's to 9's I think you're going to really enjoy his set at Coachella this year.

Amber Mark is probably somebody youre going to want to get into.

I appreciate Danny Elfman for clearing up that the Danny Elfman show at Coachella, which was billed specifically as “Danny Elfman” will not be an Oingo Boingo show.

Finally got around to listening to the Murder Capital and it might be my favorite so far. Between them, IDLES and Fontaines DC I seriously can’t get enough of bookings like these. Shame last year was one of my favorite finds of the last year too. Cannot wait for how early I’m gonna need to get there on Saturday lol

I'm pretty shocked Coachella didn't get this Bright Eyes reunion given their history with Conor. But maybe next year, given they're releasing new music.
